Thompson and Morgan best ever online plants
Yes they are small - the same size as advertised! So why people complain about their size I do not know. However after buying 72 plug geraniums in may - also 1 in high - and watching them grow into the most beautiful enormous healthy plants ever covered in enormous red flowers, I have returned to Thompson and Morgan several times - each time the plants have been a bit slow to arrive, small but extremely healthy and growing into beautiful specimens. I will never go to any other online plant shop in future - I've tried them all and always been disappointed. I'm confident the lavender will be equally beautiful. and they are very cheap!

Absolutely perfect
Absolutely perfect! I've had plants delivered in plug style through the post many times, and always, there are casualties. Not this time. Every single plant was in perfect condition, all 72. Root system was at the perfect stage potting on. Every plant has taken and they're happily sat growing on ready for late season planting (if they're strong enough) but certainly will be raring to go for next year. Delivery was prompt and came exactly when they said it would, packaging was sturdy and protected the plants perfectly. Price was unbelievable, ludicrously cheap for 72 Munstead lavender. A very hardy, drought tolerant, low maintenance, flowering and fragrant perennial that will continue to impress for around 5 years give or take. If you are looking to purchase some lavender plugs to grow on, then definitely buy these!

Horrible, Frustrating and Unprofessional Experience
I purchased this product in late June, and I was soexcited. To receive small, beautiful baby lavender plants was my dream. I was finally going to be able to fill my front garden (which I spent days tilling and preparing the soil) with gorgeous, fragrant laveder was my dream. It turned into a nightmare!!!I was orginally told they would be deilvered by the 27th of June. Then I noticed the status changed to a delivery window of JUly 2-7. I understood these things happen. By roughly the 7th, I had no plants, but I saw that my item had been "dispatced". By the 8th, there were no plants and no changes to the order status. I had written a quick note to the seller to ask if there was an issue.Through the Amazon messaging app, I received a note saying that "if my item was not delivered by the 9th to please contact the seller".As it was now the 9th, I wrote, again through the Amazon messaging system, that I was quite upset, as there were no plants, no change to the "dispatched" status, but more importantly, there was no communication from the seller to explain what the issues were.By the evening of the 10th, I was so confused and frustrated and asked once again for some actual human being from the seller please contact me personally, as in I wanted to see a non pre-recorded, non pre-programmed words or even better hear those words.Nothing...Finally, on July 12th, I decided to contact Amazon directly, as I was too frustrated to speak with the non compliant seller.I finally spoke with a person, through the Amazon message app. Because I was writing through an app, I was curious if there was a computer behind those kind and supportive words, and there was definetely a person (or maybe a nice Ex Machina type there). We had a conversation, whivh was a bit more colorful at times than hers. She told me that the seller had decided that the best thing for the plants was to send them to buyers with the new batch would be ready at the end of August. I almost lost my mind.Endy of story...Amazon was clear, direct, helpful, empathetic, quick (and a little silly) and remarkably professional.Seller: THOMPSON & MORGAN (who is listed as the manufacturer) was incapable or unable to call, email, text, or even contact me through the same app that I had contacte them. They showed zero kindness, understanding, or sadly, truth. They lied about the date. They lied about the dispatch status. If they had the intension of selling and delivering their plants at the end of August, why did they even move the status of my items? That took effort from someone to change my status to dispaach, even if it was a person pushing one button to a programmed computer. They lied, and they have yet to return the money or even give a small gift for the preceeding nightmare.

Get your magnifying glasses out
Barely larger than a finger nail so will need a year in a pot before planting out - although healthy and strong root growth

Excellent quality, small plug that will grow on quickly
I bought 48 lavender plugs and at first glance they are quite small but this is perfect. Don’t be put off by this. It is so much easier to plant a tiny plug and they take so well when planted in the right soil. The arrive flat pack each in rows of 5 mini pots which the plug pulls out of easily. The key is a good root system and these have that! Plant lavender is full or bright sunny/partial shade position and keep well-watered in summer until established. Lavender will look small the first year and then the second year they explode and grow lovely and big. These are great quality plugs and I definitely recommend them. I have planted lavender for years and always buy small plugs and grow on. The price is excellent for so many plants.

Excellent value
Great value for money and there ended up being 22 plants total in the dozen plugs I bought! They are well established now and smell amazing, plus they have been delicious in biscuits and cakes. I definitely recommend. Some are smaller than others but I think that might be user error... All survived planting out last year and are thriving.
