Dolphins: Amazing Pictures & Fun Facts on Animals in Nature

Was well liked by our great grandsons and their parents as well.

Going on a cruise this summer and have swimming with dolphins lined up. I bought this as an educational tool to learn about them before we go see them this summer in person. my daughter is 10, it is a pretty simple read but has a lot of cool facts. She is constantly talking about the facts. sitting in the car on the way to dinner I get "hey dad did you know dolphins...." I'll put this in the win column that learning has occurred. Very happy with the book.

Right off the bat this book was a HUGE hit with my nephew! In fact we have read it 3 times already in the first day. He only comes over to visit every once in awhile so I don't mind. I often let him pick a book and then we sit on the couch and read it on my Kindle - he loves it!The part that he thought was the best (I'll be honest, I NEVER knew this!!) is that dolphins sleep for 16 hours a day... they close one eye and 1/2 of their brain sleeps for 8 hours, then they switch eyes/brains for another 8 hours.Simply amazing! I often wish I could do that...Great read, kids will love this one!!

My 5 year old loves this for a bed time story, but she gets upset that the author says the Risso's dolphin is the largest breed when it is not, the Orca, (aka killer whale) is. Great photos!

I'm used to finding rubbish on Kindle; as many of the authors are self-publishers, and they are often self-publishers because they aren't traditionally publishable. This book was a pleasant surprise. I never looked to see if it was a self-publishers book, or simply the e-book for a traditionally published book, but it was well written, included interesting and factual information, and was well worth reading. I will likely purchase more of this series for my daughter and I to read.

We are heading to Discovery Cove and want two teenagers to know a little about dolphins. This is a very short book with basic information. They can read it in an hour. It was a smaller book that I expected.

I found this picture book to be filled with interesting and detailed factoids. I found the captioned photographs to be engaging and some of them were magnificent. I only wish the were a bit larger as some of the dolphin detail gets lost on a couple where there is a small dolphin in a large background.The author not only gives general dolphin factoids but also show photos of some of the species, highlighting their differences.I can recommend this book for kids and adults.

I grew up loving dolphins and whales, and wanting to be a marine biologist. This book brought me back to everything I love about dolphins. If I'd had a Kindle when I was a kid, I would have enjoyed reading this book.From an adult's perspective, I was impressed by the amount of information covered and the great job the author did of describing things in a way that was clear and easy to understand. I really enjoyed the pictures that accompanied each chapter. Most importantly, I liked the sense of wonder captured in both the images and text.This is a lovely book for children of all ages. :)

To even call this a book is stretching the truth! It seems this may have been copied from an original book. it looks and feels like cheap printer paper has been used, then folded in half to create a flimsy pamphlet at best. Extremely disappointed to the extent that I did not give it to my daughter. Only positive point were the pictures were nice.

Loved the size and the exquisite photography.

Beautiful photographs. Both my children have this on theri kindles, together with another in the series on penguins and they have been a big hit.

Originally downloaded on my kindle where my son who is a dolphin fan enjoyed it but now that's it's on colour on my kindle fire, it's even better.
