Skar Audio RP-75.4AB 500 Watt Full-Range Class A/B 4 Channel Car Amplifier

This amp is one of those “budget but actually hits” type of pieces. If you’re trying to get solid bass without emptying your wallet, it does the job. First off, the power is legit. Rated at 1200W RMS at 1 ohm, and it actually gets close to that in real use. It’s more than enough for a daily system and will push your subs hard if everything is wired right. The bass hits strong and punchy. Not competition clean, but definitely loud enough to feel it in your chest. Perfect for a daily driver setup. Now… let’s be real: The sound quality is average. It’s not trash, but it’s not some high-end SQ amp either. This is more about loud bass than perfect clarity. The amp also runs a little hot if you’re pushing it hard for long periods. Nothing crazy, but don’t treat it like it’s bulletproof. And like always with Skar, your electrical matters. If your voltage drops, this thing is gonna act up. It’s not forgiving. I’m running the Skar Audio RP-1500.1D on two Pioneer TS-A3000LS4 12" subs (4Ω SVC, 400W nominal each). Wired in parallel for a 2Ω load, this amp is rated 930W RMS @ 2Ω, which is basically perfect for this setup, and it absolutely slams. What I like: Hits HARD, stays clean: Bass is tight and punchy, with way more output than I expected from a “budget” mono amp. Easy to dial in: The onboard controls (gain/LPF/subsonic) make it simple to get the subs blended without sounding boomy. Remote bass knob included: Super convenient to tame it for everyday driving, then crank it when you want to show off. Solid build / practical features: 4-gauge power/ground terminals and protection circuitry give peace of mind once everything’s installed properly. Fits nicely in a tight space! Worth noting: Like any real sub amp, it rewards a solid electrical setup (good power/ground, clean signal, proper tuning). Once it’s set correctly, it just goes. If you want strong, chest-thumping bass without spending crazy money, this thing delivers. My two TS-A3000LS4s kick HARD on this amp and it’s been a great match.

Quality built amplifier for the price, straight forward installation

Great amp works outstandingly was have an easy application, very user-friendly. I recommend this to anyone who wants a good high pass amp, plenty enough power left over. FYI I do recommend sticking with the same brand scour audio speakers with their amps exemplary clarity and sound.You won't be dissatisfied

EDIT: I gave this one more star due to the fact this amp does work well and does last. Its a good build quality I did not expect from SKAR. I have used it every day (almost) for the past 9 months, often at near full volume with everything vibrating and flexing, paired with ONE Sundown SA-12. I still stand behind my statement about this not producing very low Hz like I was used to with my old class A/B amp, and it is absolutely noticeable on certain songs. I have done many low Hz tests and this amp just does not hit certain ones. It does get extremely loud though and hits well. That being said, its still a great amp and was built to last under above average consistent usage. I purchased this amp to replace my vintage KOLE Audio amp and wired it to one Sundown SA-12. The SKAR 1200 has very "punchy" bass but does not get very low. My old KOLE amp that had half the power of this hit lows soo good and you could feel the low bass. With this SKAR you do not get that at all, I am very disappointed. For that reason I may be returning this. The only difference I can see is the old KOLE is a CLASS A/B and this SKAR is a CLASS D. Not sure if that has anything to do with my loss of lows but it should not. I have everything tuned correctly and it still misses the low HZ. Back to square 1 now. Any suggestions? All in all this is a decent amp that has power, but if you want something that gets low and has clarity keep looking!

Only problem I have, is to tighten up the wires, you have to have a specific Allen tool that comes with the amp. I’d rather use a flat head. But the amp is great! Looks great! Works wonderful

Perfect sound, easy gain adjustment great fit and compatibility with the speaker box perfect value for the money.
