Forest Garden Overlap Dip Treated 8x6 Apex Shed

I bought this shed to use as a workshop, mainly for wood turning. I have to say that I am really pleased with it, exactly what I wanted. Delivery was good, and it was really easy to put together, everything fitted perfectly. The quality of construction is outstanding, making it a strong and comfortable space for me to work in. What really impressed me was the floor, not the usual thin OSB board floor, this one has a solid timber floor throughout. Needless that I am really pleased with this product, and it was excellent value for money.

3 big issues was;Door (having almost half a centimetre gap between it and shed door frame when closed (area where lock/bolt is).Floor not that strong (wood broke when builder walked on it while he was putting it together for us)Very small gaps in roof (above door and exact other side of shed).Don't get me wrong, its a lovely shed. just abit upset that i have to spend more to fix it up, when my brother spent over half a grand buying this one.

Everything arrived but a month early which meant I wasn’t home so daughter had to take delivery which also meant it wasn’t inspected on delivery. Once I got home I noticed damage to 2 panels, one feather board had not been put on correctly and there was a half inch gap which had to be repaired by us, where another feather board had been put on with a very bent nail it had cracked half way along the board. The window side was very wobbly so we had to design another post inside to strengthen the whole side, the door was warped so wouldn’t shut at the top, we had to purchase other fastenings to keep it shut. The roofing felt was torn in places around the edge of the roll, as there wasn’t enough to cut these out we had to buy mastic to seal. Once up we could see daylight through most of the knots in the feather boards so had to buy sealant to ensure it was watertight. On a positive note it looks nice up.

Awful , expensive , cheap material alot of nails sticking out in the parts that came assembled . Very cheap thin wood , if I had seen it in a shop I wouldn't pay £100 ,

Well worth the money but a real pain to line up and square off. All looks OK until you put the roof on then the fun starts. My advice, follow the instructions and when you come to the roof remove all the screws holding the frame to the base, this allows you to move the structure slightly and align.

This shed is very good for the price. Plenty of space and it looks really good. Delighted with this purchase.

The one I am taking down is much better quality.

Totally disappointed with this shed, yes it's £150 to £200 cheaper than other sheds of the same size however I would not expect to have the issues I had. There were nails which hadn't been fully embedded so these had to be ground off with a grinder to enable the panel to sit flush with the base. The window side has no fixing points at the head so this side moves, The door opening is smaller than the door so I had to cut the door & shoot it in. The roof is for a totally different shed I think as this just did not fit, quite a lot of rework needed here. The bolts on the apex bracket were cut so badly the nuts would not thread onto them. I didn't expect a rolls Royce shed for the money I paid however I did expect it to be fit for purpose.
