Works as intended.
First of all, we have to understand the context of what we are trying to do with this piece of equipment. I bought a new headboard over the internet. That headboard is the wrong size. That's my fault. I didn't fulfill my obligation of due diligence before ordering. Now I have this massive piece of furniture, and I don't know what to do with it.1) I can send it back. I don't like this idea much. It would probably cost $50 just to get it in the mail, and I don't like the thought of making a retailer pay for my mistake.2) I can buy a new mattress, box-spring, and frame. Not liking this idea, either, since my current one is only a few years old.3) I can buy an adapter knowing full well that it will probably wobble a little bit.I opted for option three, but let's understand what I want to accomplish. I want to take a large, sturdy piece of furniture (a bed frame) and attach it to another large, sturdy piece of furniture (a headboard). Even if I was to attach these two pieces of furniture without a bracket adding surface area to the fulcrum where the two units join, there would be a slightly perceptible amount of wobble. Adding surface area to the fulcrum will increase the wobble. I understand this, and I accept it. This adapter does exactly what I needed it to do. I needed to attach a queen sized headboard to a full sized mattress. Problem solved. There are a couple of things that should be pointed out. First and foremost, the headboard does wobble a little bit. It is on the acceptable side. However, we have to take what I said in the first paragraph into consideration. When attached perfectly without an adapter, a headboard will wobble just a little bit. I am taking a piece of metal that is about 4" long on each side of this connection, and that is increasing the fulcrum area between the two large pieces of furniture. When I examine the joint where the two pieces connect, there appears to be no movement at all when I wobble the headboard back and forth. The wobble that is present is caused by the bed-frame bending. One other note that might be helpful: Two wrenches or sockets are required for assembly. I recommend a wrench on one side and a socket on the other. While this assembly is helpful in that it enables the assembly to be extremely tight, it involves the use of tools that might not be present in everyone's home.Small update: I was able to stabilize a bit of the wobble by simply using shims under the legs of the headboard.

Attach a Full Size Headboard On a Queen Frame
I have an antique bedroom set that is actually a bit smaller than a full/double (but bigger than single/twin). I wanted to put a queen mattress in this guest room so I used this modification plate to attach the headboard to the queen frame. It worked perfectly. You have a little extra room to accommodate different sizes with the slotted holes. The headboard & frame have a very solid connection. This came with 4 bolts & nuts but I needed 4 wood screws to attach to my wood headboard. Keep that in mind when you are prepping for this project. The bolts/nuts would have worked if I had a metal headboard.

Does the Job
I used these modification plates to convert a double bed into a queen. The rails that hold the box spring/mattress set are "clawed" at both ends; i.e., they hook into slots that the plates provide. They will do the job. However, the instruction sheet that came with the plates is the wrong one. It shows attaching the slots (that I would use for the rails) attaching to the headboard, and the other openings attaching to a bolt-on bedframe — just the opposite of what I got the plates for. Fortunately it's not rocket science to reverse the directions.

Sturdy but not user friendly
These modification plates are very sturdy, however they came with terrible hardware. The bolts do not have slots for a regular or Phillips head screw driver, and the nuts are lock-tite nuts which means you can't finger tighten them first to get the bracket on. This makes installing these brackets extremely difficult, especially for single women who don't have the particular wrench that the instructions suggested. I ended up going to the hardware store and purchasing bolts with screw heads and regular nuts and that worked perfectly to get the brackets onto the bed frame, however once I was ready to install my headboard, I found that the bolts that came with my headboard were just a millimeter too big for the slots in the bracket. So back to the hardware store to get more bolts that would fit the bracket. Ultimately I am pleased that I was finally able to use my full-size headboard for my new queen bed - it looks great. But these brackets were very hard to work with and were not user friendly at all. My suggestion to the manufacturers is to make the slots in the bracket slightly bigger to match the slots on standard bed frames, and provide bolts with screw heads so a screwdriver and pliers is all you need to install these.

Perfect fit and finish. Easy to install.
I received 2 sets of the bed claws (for two beds, of course) that I needed to use a queen bed frame fit onto a full bed headboard. They arrived almost immediately. They were a snap to install. The instructions were clear and the picture was helpful. I had read a previous review where someone said that the headboard was shaky so I went to Home Depot and bought four large washers to put on the outside of the headboard legs to add some support. The headboard is the Rock of Gibraltor...total cost for the large washers? $0.72 TOTAL at Home Depot. (OK...add 8% CA sales tax too). Maybe the manufacturer could add a buck to the price and add the washers?Would I buy them again? In a heartbeart. The total job for two beds took about 35 minutes including moving the beds out and using a 7/16 socket and wrench to tighten everything. You don't even notice the difference in size of the headboard and bed. I saved a couple of hundred dollars from not having to buy either a new bed or a new headboard too.
