Seems to be working correctly for optimum burn. I have one on the stovetop and one on the pipe going up

I didn’t notice this one didn’t have numbers, only 3 temp ranges. Seemed slow to reach “optimal” setting. I replaced it with one that has numbers.

Wish it had numbers but this does the job.

Works as designed, to help reduce with creosote buildup knowing the temperature of the flue pipe. Comes with screw to attach to stainless pipe. Just remember to predrill or threads wont last
