Not for the average home chef
I would consider myself a pretty good cook who makes homemade meals for my family (with leftovers) about 3 days per week. I also live in Phoenix, so I was drawn to this cookbook. Unfortunately, this cookbook was completely out of my range! I agree with other reviews that the pictures are stunning and the chef stories were interesting. HOWEVER, I didn’t buy this as a book to keep on my coffee table, I intended to actually cook from it. Paging through, I couldn’t find any recipes that seemed like they would be doable when cooking for my family, maybe for the rare fancy weekend meal. That being said, I returned the book so it didn’t just gather dust. I guess I’ll appreciate these Phoenix restaurants even more when I visit them and enjoy their meals!
