Put the antique Edison bulb in it and it looks awesome. We are going for an older weathered and stressed look for our entire home's interior. This works perfectly in our dinning area.

These look great, they are easy to install, and go very well with our “Farmhouse” look.

Occasionally you get more than you pay for! Perfect light for my space. I reduced them 1 star because the neck of the light is open so you see the neck of the bulb. I'm using a 100 watt equivalent led bulb because I want a lot of light, so the writing on the neck of the bulb is visible. For a few pennies more they could have filled the openings with a piece of plastic. I could use a more decorative bulb that would look nicer thru the opening but I want light and this the bulb I have.Update: I bought decorative bulbs so that I wouldn't see the writing on the neck of the bulb but they are unusable.The light being emitted from them thru the openings in the neck of the pendant is blinding. Put the standard led bulb back in. I'll live with the writing on the neck of the bulb.

I haven't installed these yet, but taking them out of the box and taking a look I am really impressed by the finish. These are really high quality for such a good price!

They fit perfectly in our custom design kitchen. I design, my boyfriend builds, fits perfectly together. I highly recommend the lights, they aren't too heavy, have vents on top for light to shine through, the white interior adds to the brightness. We bought an entire matching collection.

I’m updating my review because after much trial and error I finally found a light bulb that solves the glare issue. I got an indoor flood light - the kind you would buy for a ceiling can light. This works because the neck of the bulb is long and almost opaque, so no glare comes out the cut-out on top, and instead of a round bulb the flood light has a flat surface which diffuses the light so when you are directly under the light there is no glare. Very happy that I found this solution; if you are sensitive to glare give this a try.This is a beautiful light, really good value for the money, our electrician installed it quickly, well-made, clean lines. A few other reviews mentioned that the cord would not straighten out but ours straightened out within a day. But I wish I had paid more attention to the the cut-out in the top of the light - it’s not super obvious from most of the photos but quite a bit of light shines out from that cut-out and for me the glare from it is annoying. (We installed two of these over our dining table, with 60-watt bulbs -even partially dimmed the glare is noticeable when you are standing or sitting across the room.) I’ve ordered a couple of bulb extenders so the bulbs will hang lower and am using bulbs that are opaque at the top so hopefully the combo will solve the problem. But I wish I had bought a barn light without the cut-outs at the top. Just food for thought.

Although I had never hung anything from the ceiling before, I was a bit hesitant about installing this. However, the instructions provided were fairly easy to follow, and it turned out to be the perfect size and shape for my home office. The sleek design of the installation also helps to modernize the appearance of my workspace, which I really appreciate.
