Perfect for unwell gerbils
This was recommended by my exotic vet when my gerbils were unwell & needed a bit of extra support. They both LOVED it - it obviously tastes lovely to them (it smells decent when made), and it kept them both at a good weight which is essential for any recovery to take place. It's very easy to make, and mixes up very easily when water is added.Under the guidance of our vets, we also used this to supplement regular feeding long-term as a post-medication treat / bribe to make sure their medications stay in.If you've got gerbils and you've been recommended this, I highly recommend it. Occasionally larger bags are available so if you've got to use this long term, they'd make for better value for money.

Life saver!
This was purchased for a gerbil who had lost his top teeth and was struggling to eat anything. His weight had plummeted and we had run out of options. This product quite literally saved his life. He's happy to take it from a syringe and appears to enjoy eating it.His weight is now stable and he's managing to eat a few small bits here and there, but this is still a consistent, nutritionally balanced food for him to have as long as he needs it.Only a tiny amount is needed for a gerbil so it lasts a long time and is easy to mix for syringe feeding.

Go to intensive care food for my hamsters
Arrived in good time. This is the go to intensive care food I use when my hams 🐹 are poorly and off their food a bit. Used in a quantity mix herbivore and omnivore varieties on vet consultation. This is palatable and easy for little tummy’s to digest.

Life saver!
Life saver! My old rat Remi has to take medication twice a day he hates, it was driving us both crazy because he simply wouldn't take it. Last ditch effort and this works like a charm! I add some salmon oil to help hide the smell of the meds and he can't get enough!

A Life Saver.
Have used this for poorly chickens. One of our chickens has stopped eating. She's a rescue hen and a hybrid. Hybrids are designed to lay an egg a day for a year, often in horrific conditions and then they're disposed.Molly is in her 7th year and is in good health otherwise. We feed Emeraid directly into her crop twice a day which she's not keen on.The mixing instructions are vague and it would be easy to underfeed your bird. I find it quite viscous, even when mixed in the correct proportion and so I add a small amount of water to thin it down. It's best used immediately as it's thixotropic properties make it harder to push out of the syringe and silicon tube. It's far more expensive than it should be and I try and buy it in 400g packs which is cheaper.

Amazing product for hiding medications from fussy ratties
My rat needed 3 different medications twice daily. I tried hiding them in various different foods, lick e lix, nutella, sardines, Greek yogurt with honey, baby food with no success. Mixed in with this he ate it very happily meaning much less stress for me. Would definitely recommend

Very good
Good product... If you are not going to use it straight away, it can be safely frozen to use at a later date, thus prolonging it's use by date.
