I was really impressed by this flavoring. The watermelon scent is incredibly realistic and bright without smelling artificial or syrupy. The moment I opened the bottle I could smell fresh, juicy watermelon candy. A little goes a very long way, so I’d recommend starting with less than you think you’ll need. It’s potent enough that even a small amount provides plenty of flavor. I’ve been experimenting with it in homemade flavor blends, and I was surprised by how well it plays with other flavors. It has a sweet watermelon base but still leaves room for brighter notes if you’re layering citrus or mint. It doesn’t disappear into the background the way some fruit flavorings do. The bottle seals well, arrived without leaking, and the flavor has been very consistent. If you’re looking for a true watermelon candy flavor rather than a vague “red fruit” flavor, this one delivers exactly what I was hoping for. I’d definitely purchase it again.

I love LorAnn flavoring oil! I use it for my small business and it is wonderful. My mom used to make candy every Christmas using your oils. I have revived her recipes and LorAnn was the only oil I would use. Thank you for being amazing for so long! I love LorAnn!!! ❤️

While my family reports that this has a "medicine" taste and smell, to me it smells like watermelon very distinctly. As other reviewers pointed out (and I thank them for the warning) a little goes a long way. I use this to make three parts of iced tea, and it takes about two drops. I know you're thinking that's not enough - it is. It can turn a mild flavored iced tea into a wonderful summer treat that does something to your brain to make you think you're having a picnic on a breezy warm day. I love it. I took off one star, however, because you must use an eye dropper or stirring rod to pick up a drop or two. The trouble is that the flavor is so intense, whatever I use smells like watermelon and has a pink stain even after a thorough washing. The pink coloring also seems unnecessary.
