Just not large enough, but very nice

I purchased this to put on the ground in the garden. I thought the steel would be a better choice than glass. But after only 9 months, the color is flaking off and it looks like junk. I had thoughts of buying more but that will not happen now. I guess I’ll stick with glass globes.

Unfortunately, not the color that I was expecting, as it looked different on my screen. Otherwise, a quality product.

I was a bit skeptical ordering a stainless steel ball thinking it might be heavy or clunky compared to glass balls but this ball is lightweight and a beautiful color. It is even prettier in the setting sun. I’ll definitely order another ball in the 10 inch size for our other gazing ball stand.

We had a really bad storm last week and I didn't even check on my gazing balls , as I was too busy watching my garden, wind chimes, bird feeders, and spinners getting pummeled. Found this little guy in the yard the next morning, intact!!! Well that was one thing that survived the storm.

Update (7 months after initial review):Exposure to sunlight and weather elements has completely faded the orange color. The sphere is now uncolored chrome.----------Initial review:Quick shipment and delivery. Good quality and durability.However, as another reviewer noted, you will be disappointed if you are expecting a red globe. It is "burnt orange," not red. (The "AVERAGE" rating I am giving is for the benefit of other potential buyers.)Fortunately burnt orange works for me and I am a totally satisfied customer.

I have a stand that the ball sits on in my front yard. It is quite pretty.

Ok this is my first globe/ball ever! I added water into that tiny hole. Not sure if I was supposed to do that. It made it heavier so that it won’t just fall off the stand due to heavier winds. It really looks nice in my front yard. I love it so far!

After 1 summer in the sun the glaze completely faded. I didn’t realize that until the end of the summer and too late to return

i bought this last year and the original colour, more green than blue, has faded and the mirror finish has become a matte rather than a mirror. but it does withstand canadian winters, so it gets 3 stars.

We bought these stainless steel gazing balls to replace the glass models due to weather. Look exactly like photo
