Terrific
It’s hard to believe they could get such advanced technology right the first time. But these guys pulled it off! Next stop for humanity: Mars! Jk jk. Does what it’s supposed to. Pleased with purchase after 2 months.

Flimsy but typical
I don’t know why I’m prompted to review motion detection ? There is nothing about this product that detects motion. It is easy to install because we just turn it clockwise in a socket. It is a superior value to DIY stores because they sell individual units, and Ace Hardware stores always pick the wrong items.

Added light bulbs in my dim garage
Works as they should. Added 4 5k daylight bulbs to my garage and so far all work well with these adapters.

Light Bulb in Overhead Power Outlet in Garage
When I started looking I honestly wasn't expecting to find this, and yet, I found exactly what I had envisioned (after not finding it at the hardware store). This is cheap and does exactly what I wanted to do... put a standard light bulb in a traditional outlet. There's no switches, no features... It simply connects a bulb to an outlet and nothing more. Which is perfect. My scenario: I've got a Philips Hue system in the house with multiple lights, but I had a spare bulb with no use. So, I purchased this along with a Hue motion sensor, and installed a motion activated light in my garage. Yeah, the door opener has a light, but it's only triggered by running the door and stays on for just a few minutes. I've got a refrigerator, toolbox, and other things in the garage so go out there more often than just going to the car.So, I now have this device plugged into the ceiling outlet where my door opener is plugged, the Hue bulb in the socket, and a motion sensor over the door. When I walk out, the light is triggered, and turns off a few minutes after there is no motion. It was a simple fix to a minor problem, but I'm very pleased with now having a light out there for nighttime. This is likely a limited use product as you'd either need to use it with an always-on light or with an outlet which is switched in some way (or in my case, a smart bulb). Still, when you need such a niche item, Amazon saves the day!

Works great, super easy to use, Inexpensive.
GE 54173 Socket Adapter Converts Outlet to Lamp Socket, Polarized Ivory This is something that is so inexpensive and has helped me immensely. It is just so easy to use. I had a little nook area in the front of the house that I think someone used as either an office or pantry in this house when it was built. It's just a small room with a window, and room for a twin bed and tv. I fixed it up for when my 6 year old niece comes over to visit. She loves the idea of her "own room" and treasures the little room. I call it her nook. The room had electrical outlets, but not really a good light source other than a lamp. One of the outlets is up higher near the door frame, so I simply screwed a light bulb into the adapter and plugged it in. Now I have a lot of light in the room for when my little angel wants to color or just play. I wish I could find one with an on/off switch, but for now, I just either unplug or twist the bulb to make it loose when I want to turn it off. Other than that, it's perfect, and couldn't ask for a better or less expensive solution. Works great!

Simple but work well
They are strong enough and smooth to screw in a bulb. Worth the buy

Very handy
The light bulb may be heavy enough to pull this connector out if your jack is shaken enough, but otherwise you are safe to use this overhead. If you bend the rather flimsy prongs, they will fit a little tighter, if necessary. And don't stick a wet finger in this thing when it is plugged in, you will fry your finger-tip.
