Who’s the red shirt in the family?
This book has a lot of triggers in it. But it also has a lot of way to help overcome them. The best being that Joe loves Marilee enough to help her with them all. Little Zachary also needs so help and understanding that Marilee can understand sand help solve. Add in a murder and you have a tale for the ages. I enjoyed all the ups and downs of this book.

Why haven't I been reading this author before now??
I loved this book.Pros- You have a strong guy. He's protective and sweet and caring. He's a great dad and wants to care for everyone. He's wonderful. You have Marilee. She's trying so hard to protect the people she loves too. She was a victim and she pushed everyone away. She's suffering and hiding and she is so good with Joe's son. It is sweet. She is brave. Zach, Joe's son- he is so adorable!! He made me want to cry sometimes about how his mom treated him. UGH. Poor thing. And this book has some danger and drama, and the great secondary characters!!!Cons- Well, the book has to end sometime, right?

Familiar ground for Catherine Anderson
Catherine Anderson writes emotionally charged contemporary and historical romances where the heroines are frequently wounded young ladies and the heros are extremely masculine rescuers who are also exceptionally sensitive. "Seveth Heaven" certainly fits this mold. It is the story of Marilee Nelson, a nice Catholic girl from a small Oregon town who abruptly broke off her engagement to her football star fiancee, Joe Lakota. A decade later, Joe returns to town with his fragile young son and quickly realizes that there were tragic circumstances that caused Marilee to break up with him years ago. He proceeds to gently but persistently tear down her emotional barriers and try to recapture the romance of their youth. Anderson is an extremely sympathetic writer, and she handles the backlash of physical and emotional trama very well. Her characters are appealing, and the sensual tension is well-paced. Unfortunately, this is ground that Anderson has traveled before, and more adeptly, in "Forever After." If you've enjoyed Anderson's previous work, you will like "Seventh Heaven", but don't expect to see something new from this talented writer.

Great Contemporary Romance
I don't usually read contemporary romance, but I have recently been reading everything by this author. Her books are amazing no matter the setting. This story is about a pro football player who moves back to his small hometown and meets up with his ex fiance. The ex is Marilee who only broke the engagement because of a rape incident she couldn't talk about. Ryan now has a four year old son and needs a wife to keep full custody. Marilee decides to help him by marrying him, but still isn't ready for physical love. The character development is amazing. Both characters are likable. The only issue I had with the book was the fact that I don't like romances that involve rekindling old flames. I'm more of a love at first sight fan. But, this was one of the best contemporary romance books i have ever read.

Catherine Anderson is a sensation!!!!!
I have never written a review before and I have read literally thousands of romance novels. I tend to read one book by a given author and if I like her writting style I read EVERY book she has ever written. I have done this with countless authors Sandra Brown, Linda L. Miller, Jodi Thomas, Nora Roberts, Just to name a few and usually I can count on the books being a good read . Obviously some are better than others but all in all I am glad I read the book. In the case of Catherine Anderson I have to say I have LOVED each and every one of her books . To date I have read every book she has written except for the ones that are so out of date that the price is outrageous. I have 4 kids in college and can't afford that luxury. All of the books are full of love, happy endings and some even great humor and although set in a different time and place the events are timeless and often I would laugh at how close it has touch my life. If you love romance as I do and you want to read a book with everything a romance novel should be , I urge you not to miss any of Ms. Andersons books each is a treasure to be opened and enjoyed , hope this review will help anyone who is in search of a good romance author whose books you haven't yet read . I wnat to add I don't know Ms. Anderson and I wrote this becasue anyone who loves to read should have the opportunity to read her books. Let me know how you enjoyed them Happy Reading !!!

So much for expectations...
My first Catherine Anderson book was her latest, Phantom Waltz, which I absolutely loved. I was a little disappointed by this book. I expected the heroine to be similar in the latest book, strong and independent. While we see sparks of that in the main character, Marilee, for the most part, she is dependent on Joe to help her out of the problems she is dealing with after being raped 10 years earlier. This is still a good read, but I am always a little turned away from stories when the heroine is made out to be weak in her own opinions and personalities.

When I first read this book I really enjoyed & there was some stuff in it that I think I really needed to hear. Now I reread it for both fun & the reminders I need from it.

Simply ok
All Catherine Anderson's heroes are sensitive, understanding and patient, Joe Lakota being no exception. I also understand the sensitive nature of the problem Marilee has, but it did not make me like her. This was not one of my favourite books by this author, simply ok.

Seventh Heaven
I loved this book. I buy everything I can by Catherine Anderson and this one will be read over and over again. Joe is the type of guy any woman would love to marry. He adores his little boy and his old love never really left his heart, when he finally worked out what her problem was I thought I was going to cry for ever. The story is much more about Joe than about Marilee, but the love between the two of them just fills every page and I'm sure every reader will love it.
