I bought this by accident - they are too stiff for the job I am building - but they seem to be well build, look good, and will eventually find a place to ride.

The media could not be loaded. There's absolutely no damping in either compression or rebound, and the rod is also very loose in the body.They DO fit the advertised measurements, and they have enough adjustment via the spring base to allow removal of the spring without special tools.I'm skeptical that they can be adjusted for more preload by hand, since the 750 pound springs create a lot of friction in the threads, and I also don't think they'll last very long, given what is apparent in the rest of the construction. (I am guessing that the springs will quickly disassemble the bodies, if these units are allowed to top out with any preload at all.)If your installation is merely ornamental, they do look okay.

Used for suspension on an electric powered utility cart. Nice compression and rebound. Weight rating was dead on.

The package only came with 1 shock not 2.

I got them put to use for a custom full front trike suspension.

I searched for trailer springs and this is what Amazon recommended. They are about 1.5 inches in diameter with 1/4 to 5/16 mounting holes. These will NOT work on a 4x8 trailer without some serious modifications and even then, the shock is useless and it will be riding on the spring.

Would help if description was more clear , these are tiny maybe one inch of travel only

The item looked like in the picture. Once installed, it was absolute garbage. Its basically a spring. There is no shock dampening what so ever. The strut tube is filled with nothing, its just a bolt that slides in and out of the cylinder through a plastic bushing. The spring once fully compressed doesnt spring back to original dimensions. it become much smaller. Waste of my time installing.
