Bought this machine this week as it tated that it was a A+++ rated for energy. Turned out to be a D rated for energy. Went onto customer services and complained and got £50 refund. Always go to Customer services if something is wrong on the webpage as they are responsible for selling this as it states on the webpage, even though it is sold by a Third Party.

New appliances often stink - this is something that everyone knows however this one is a whole new level of stench. It keeps setting off the smoke alarm every 5 minutes even though it’s been at least 20mins since the maintenance cycle stopped. When I opened the washers door, I started to cough due to strong vapour. Although windows were open the entire time and I am running air purifier alongside this stench is not airing out and I had to dismantle the smoke alarm because it wouldn’t stop beeping. This is just disastrous. Worst purchase ever.P.S. nothing is smoking, nothing is burning. It’s literally the vapour coming off the rubber parts. Never encountered a washer that stunk this bad while new. This machine is cheap for a reason. Probably uses low quality and potentially toxic materials.

Love the 45 minutes 40 degree wash.

We've had hotpoint washing machines for years, but I must say that this one is one of the most hidious machines we've ever bought. Most of the programs are utterly ridiculous, they either last for hours using a lot of electricity or they use gallons of water. I thought companies were meant to be producing products that were efficient. I don't think this one is.
