Effectively removes heat-tint, weld-burn and discoloration and rust from all grades of stainless steel. It is a unique chemical formulation of paste-like consistency, with mineral acids, deoxidizers and penetrants. The active ingredients dissolve the hard-to-remove blue oxidation color and weld-burn. It clings to vertical, horizontal and intricate surfaces and can be applied by a cloth. Compound 302 can also be used as a general acid cleaner for copper, brass and bronze.

I have stainless steel side exhausts on my car and - yup "stainless" is a misnomer as they get brown stains on them from heat and road "stuff". Took a chance to try this stuff and it actually works! It does not get every bit of burn in brown stains off BUT it lightens the brown stains. My hope is as I use it more the stains will gradually disappear. READ all the caution labels, use rubber gloves. In order to clean off the stains this stuff has to be rather caustic! It washes off with soap and water and so far leaves no stains on the concrete floor.

I live on the ocean in Puerto Rico. Rust is my enemy!!! This product, used according to directions, removed all of my rust on my stainless steel hinges and door handles. It was a slow, meticulous process, but well worth it.

gets stains out and polishes stainless. nothing else comes close.
it works great on heat stained stainless, also on rust stained stainless. one of the few non fake products available to consumers, though i believe this is actually for commercial and industrial use.

Great for BBQ heat stain
Wow! I used this on a couple 304ss BBQ grills to get rid of some brown heat staining that nothing else was working on. It was incredible! It does cloud slightly, so apply with the grain, buff it out with the grain. I used some barkeepers friend afterwards and the stain was gone. Great product!

I have a Factory Five Cobra replica with stainless steel sidepipes. Nothing I tried would get them clean without hours of work, until I tired this!!! Great stuff.

It Just Works.
This stuff works, plain and simple. Had a few ferrules welded on to my SS Fermenter. This stuff took the weld tint right off. Make sure you rub the compound in pretty good for the best results.
