An excellent gender swap on Holmes and Watson. Fun to read and beautiful to look at.
As soon as I saw Paul McCaffrey’s cover for issue 1 of the comic I knew I would buy the graphic novel as soon as possible. The story is much more than I expected, with lots of familiar names, if not faces, bursting in on the action. I love these sorts of stories and this one stands proud amongst them.Paul McCaffrey has coloured his beautifully clean line work with a depth and richness that is astonishing. I had to read it with “the big light on” in case I overlooked anything.A very enjoyable book. I do hope there’s a Volume 2 in the works.

Fantastic narrative brought to life with some great artwork
If you like a combination of traditional story characters brought to life with a new and exciting twist, this book is for you! It takes well know characters and places them in new exciting stories. A sort of league of extraordinary gentlemen using well known female figures to explore a fascinating environment at the end of Queen Victoria's reign.

Fun
The book makes no secret of its resemblance to Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Its another adventure featuring 19th Century real and Literary characters. This time Ayesha seeks vengeance on the British empire, and faces off Against Adler, Ayre and Havisham.I don't know anything about Rogana Queen of the Beggars or Belle,,,,Its fun but perhaps not as sophisticated in its themes as the Moore.
