RembrandtPaint Oil PERM MAD D, Permanent Madder Deep, One Size

This is probably one of the very few paints out there that is a single pigment (very important for clean colour mixing) , super close Alizarin Crimson substitute . I love the real Alizarin PR83, but its susceptibility to fade is slightly concerning. So for anyone concerned about that, the Permanent Madder Deep is the answer. It produces the most beautiful, smoky pinks when mixed with white. This Madder Deep and Alizarin Crimson are not 100% the same of course , this Madder pigment is a tiny but more "brown" and a tiny bit less translucent than the real Alizarin.

Rembrandt is consistantly a good mid range oil paint. I use it alongside Michael Harding and Winsor & Newton brands. I am a portrait painter and came to this via another portrait painter's recommendation. While I cannot give a long use review I can say I am hugely impressed with it in my mixes and it is going to remain firmly on my palette in place of the ever lovely fugitive AC. Its not expensive so try it. I am delighted I did.
