Plumeria rubra "Hawaiian" | Frangipani | Fragrant Pink Flowers | Height 35-50 cm | Pot-Ø 14 cm

Looked everywhere for a frangipani to remind us of our old home in Thailand. Slightly disappointed only the rubra was available (from Hawaii, not the white ones of Thailand) but any frangi is better than none!Some of the leaves were brown upon delivery, which luckily seems like it was a problem from light starvation in transit – frangipani need *a lot* of light every day. Having placed this on a sun-drenched shelf during the winter months, an accident saw it knocked off the shelf and two of the three budding heads were tragically snapped off. Nevertheless, the plant has recovered very well and both snapped heads have now regrown with lots of lush green leaves that grow faster and bigger every day.If you're watering this, remember it doesn't like soaking or being dry. We use an irrigation bottle made from an old glass tabasco sauce bottle that drip feeds the plant with water into the middle depth of soil over several days. This combined with a very sunny south-facing window has made it blossom rapidly. Looking forward to our blooms later in the summer.

Update after full refund: The plant arrived dead, all leaves were black and shrivelled.Requested refund from Bakker/sellar, who did give 100% refund.My advise is NOT TO BUY the plant if you're in UK. The chances it arriving alive and well is basically a coin flip.It is the seller's responsibility to ensure that the plants arrive well. Very disappointing purchase from Bakker.

TERRIBLE! The plant arrived half dead and even if it had been healthy would not have looked like the photo at all! I wasn’t expecting it to have flowers but it had only one sad branch (instead of 3 on the photo). Haven’t got any reply to my return request, terrible customer service, just avoid ordering, I might as well have thrown money directly in the bin, extremely disappointing

Arrived in excellent condition, very healthy looking, the following day the leaves began to wilt and they all dropped within days.This didn’t worry me as this can happen.New leaves began to grow immediately and have continued to grow , producing new shoots continuously.I repotted it with good soil and kept it quite dry initially and I now water sparingly once a week.

arrived a bit sad but after a few leaves fell off it has stated to grow nicely, I will wait until it has flowered before I comment more

Frangipani plants will often lose a few leaves after being in transit, as did this one, but it has made a robust recovery. Don't risk anything cheap!

Item arrived on time, however not happy how it arrived, it was a present for my mother in laws birthday and I live in Australia so thought it would be nice to order her a plant like we have here, when it was delivered there was no ‘this way up’ labelled on box, when she opened it, the plant was upside down and all soil was out of the pot!
