Purchased: Gray (Actually the Lavender Pictured)Size: 8.5Appearance: Exactly as PicturedI ordered a number of pairs of shoes last year that purported to be “Leather” everywhere I looked in their descriptions, but this is the only pair that was actually made from properly cured high-quality bovine leather, the overall quality of which rendered it a certainty they were made in the USA or Europe, not in China of plastic or some unknown or ill-defined mystery leather. The unmistakable and wonderful aroma of leather when I removed these Dadawen oxfords from their protective cloth bags was the clincher. (Speaking of China, one $20 bright blue lace-up pair described as “sneakers” was made of disgusting micro thin rat? opossum? hide and immediately irritated my hands and both clown-size shoes were 13’s.) The remaining pairs advertised as leather were “vegan leather”; there is no such thing. “Vegan” in the context of “leather” shoes and accessories is just a euphemism for “plastic”, vinyl, PVC, polyester or some similar petroleum derivative and not, I suspect, what people have in mind when they see they seek to buy “vegan” for environmental reasons or to “save animals.” (Cow leather comes from animals killed to provide meat for human consumption. Their hides, like everything else we don’t eat, are then used for numerous other purposes that guarantee no part of the animal goes to waste. The old “Wild West”, where uncounted buffalo were killed en masse for their hides and no other good reason, is long since gone. The only animals currently being killed from which the hides are generally - but not exclusively - the only part harvested are the giant predatory snakes - mainly pythons - wreaking havoc upon the indigenous birds and other wildlife in Florida’s Everglades.)Anyway, I have worn my Dadawen platform oxfords numerous times - even in a huge nursery with muddy backroads I was forced to traverse until the owner, who said the shoes were too gorgeous to ruin as he passed us (gardeners recognize this exact color as that of some of the most spectacular vines and flowers known to botany and that was my attraction to it), then he went back and got his jeep to drive my friend and me around. (The shoes were easily cleaned of the by-then caked-on mud using leather cleaner on the uppers and Mrs Myers’s Rose {scented} Spray Cleaner [available here] on the black platforms and soles.)These shoes were extremely comfortable courtesy of good leather right off the bat. They are sturdy, but not heavy or cumbersome to walk around in at all, and have proven to be very well constructed. The leather itself has not developed creases or cracks or lost its shape. I normally wear size 8.5 and these shoes fit perfectly out of the box. They do not slip when I walk or chafe my ankles, and even if they turn out to be a bit snug when first tried on, the high-quality leather used will conform to your feet once it warms up without any need to endure an agonizing or prolonged break-in period discouraging use, as would be the case with unforgiving materials like patent leather and so-called “vegan” leathers.If you are thinking about getting these, add them to your cart before moving on. The same company - Dadawen - makes “vegan leather” shoes for a few dollars less and they appear identical in every way. Except, of course, they aren’t leather and nothing I’ve written here could appropriately be transferred to include anything about them, not even the color. This page is very difficult to find, no matter how many adjectives you add to “leather” in your search terms, so be sure to add the pair you like to your cart now, just in case, or buy them. It’s not as if these aren’t a great deal and won’t look great on you, particularly if you’re partial to adding an inch of height to your appearance and especially if you prefer leather shoes. Despite hours of searching, I was only able to find one other pair of all-occasion leather platform shoes and they were over $200!I’m about to buy two additional pairs of these fantastic leather shoes by Dadawen in silver and white because I have been so impressed with my first {lavender} “gray” pair. I recommend them unequivocally.

These shoes have worked out for me. I got my usual size 9 and they fit well, also with socks. I wear them to the office and they've been comfortable so far. They feel sturdy and not slippery. The quality is nice.

These are astoundingly comfortable and I love to wear them. The only drawback is I think the heels could use just a little less spring in the foam. I love foam-heeled shoes so long as the foam is nice and firm. The heels on this one are just a 1-2lbs psi off and can cause back issues if your back doesn't like springy steps. Outside of this issue, they are exceptionally well made, beautifully designed, and easy to wear and clean.I wear a 7 and bought a 7.5 in case they fit tight, but they fit true to size and the 7.5 allows just enough room for an insole if you're a 7 (US).

I have a prolapsed ankle which means I can either wear high heels or shoes that can handle an orthopedic insert. My once extensive shoe wardrobe has been reduced to mostly hiking tennis shoes and orthopedic flip flops. High heels are almost out of the picture unless I know in advance that I won’t be doing a lot of walking. Try wearing anything dressy with hiking tennis shoes — it just does NOT WORK. I took a chance on these. What a surprise! They are comfortable, have enough room in the toe box, and are casual dressy which means that I can wear cute tops and jewelry with jeans and not look like an idiot because I’m wearing hiking tennis shoes with my outfit. I have no idea how long they will last, but they are comfortable from the get-go. For the price and a chance to finally dress more like I once did, I definitely recommend these.

I ordered a size 7, my usual size in most shoes (7.5 if athletic shoes). My toes hit the front of the shoe, with little space in the toe box. My feet are slightly on the narrow side, so if you've got wide feet, I would definitely go up at least .5-1 size bigger. Other than that, the quality of the shoes looked good! The sole looked sturdy and comfortable, with a good amount of padding inside. Note: The description says they're genuine leather, but there are no markings on/in the shoes that say leather. It seems like real leather though, or a high quality faux.

I love these shoes! The heels are not hard, hard but I love them! They are cute on. Will order more soon

I'm a size 7 but I had to exchange it for a 7.5 since I was planning to wear these with thick tights. I got the 7.5 and they fit perfect...but these still cause that shock feeling between my third and forth toe (Morton's Neuroma). 😢😢 I want to mention they are very cute and so easy to walk in. However they are too narrow for my foot. Sadly I will need to return.

The only thing that I don't care for is that the heel is a little spongy. Otherwise, they are pretty comfortable and go great with slacks. I would recommend these.

Lower quality than expected

Advertised as leather; not leather. No shipping docs in box at all, just shoes stamped "made in China." Weird feeling in the fit due to the fact that there is a strange angle to the heel that shoves your toes to the end of the toe box while leaving a gap in the back, making them feel cramped. Only return option given is to drive nearly 3 hours to their specified drop off location. Will avoid this company in the future as I am out the entire price of the shoes.
