T. D. Jakes is a Supreme Writer
The book reads so easily and smoothly. T. D. Jakes uses good imagery to get his point across in terms the reader can undertand and draw from their own experience to grasp the true meaning and come out better for having read it.

a v good motivational coach book rather than Christian book
as someone with Faith - i bought this book by the larger than life charismatic US self-help guru , Preacher + conspicuous bestseller / success story : one TD Jakes to learn more and be inspired from a Christian perspective. "Maximise the Moment.." is from 1999 and whilst a thoroughly well reasoned, motivational book for people to fulfil their lives + promise it is not for me a true book of Faith. why ? well - TD Jakes is a consummate lucid communicator giving endless clear to understand analogies, examples of how people overcome life's challenges but the biblical quotes feel for me a little tacked on amidst the hard headed "go your own way/ leave people who drag you down in life" a little hollow.criticisms also for a lack of an index of biblical references used in the book, a bibliography of recommended further reading or key issues / subjects are not provided in "Maximise" which is a shame as it leaves the reader to plough through the book (some 270 albeit easy to read pages) with no real specific map of the issues discussed. a shame."Maximise the Moment" IS a thoroughly informative , lucid read for people seeking clear, common sense advise on maximising their relationships, potential + lives but just don'e think its any kind of specific Christian led book that actively engages people via the Bible, its teachings or wisdom. my girlfriend had a good point when we discussed this book recently, in that TD Jakes IS today undeniably a powerful communicator and man of God , but "Maximise" is perhaps younger TD still to realise his true spiritual potential.still "Maximise" is recommended - but with slight reservations. 3 stars going on 4.
