TartexOrganic Mushroom Pate, 200 GR

We've been eating Tartex spreads since we first lived in Germany many years ago. Luckily, Amazon keeps a few different Tartex flavors in stock but not nearly enough. We'd like to see the WHOLE Tartex palette of flavors on offer. They are all simply IRRESISTIBLE!Please, Amazon, MORE TARTEX products!

A yummy alternative to cruel pate de fois gras. Back in my carnivore days I had thought that food gras was obtained by bursting the livers of birds after they were killed ( bad enough), never dreaming that people could burst animals’ livers while they were still alive. Makes Tartex invaluable at any price.Suggestion: it is hard to get all of it out of the tube… cut the tube with scissors and squish it all into a bowl and then keep it in the frig.

I've been using Tartex in its various forms for 15 years or more. It was one of the first quality items suitable for vegans that was widely available. I quite often slip a couple of tubes in my suitcase nowadays when I go abroad just in case the local delicacies fail to deliver. It's a shame it's never been stocked by major supermarkets (unless someone would like to correct me) but I live in hope that one day I'll be wandering past one of their the still paltry veggie sections and I'll find it there. Finding it stocked on Amazon has been great for me as my closest independent whole food supplier is a good ten miles away.

The old saying you get what you pay for applies here.The taste is amazing but the price point is high and far higher than it needs to be as alternatives are available at a greatly reduced cost without there being a greatly reduced taste

I first met this many years ago in a shop near me where they used it for sandwiches. It was pleasant to eat and I liked it. I still do.

Love the pate- double the price and had to wait ages for delivery but the pate itself was great xxx
