Lid problem.
After you make the tea it says to remove lid and stir paddle. Use a stretch film or some other think to cover the top. Come on, a separate lid should be supplied for storage.

Mixes in the sunlight
Able to make my sun tea with only one family size tea bag. Normally I use 2.

Ok. This thing is awesome!
The motorized stir feature seems to help the tea bags last longer. I just fill it with the hottest tap water, drop in a 1 gallon Lipton tea bag from Sam's Club and put it on the porch. The only issue that I encounter is that the motor gets caught on the tea bags. It does this with both the 1 gallon tea bags and 6-7 small tea bags. This would be a 5 star product if they changed the stick that attaches to the paddle from flat to round. The bags get caught against the stick - the motor isn't strong enough to overcome, so it'll stop stirring until you give it a shake. It is plastic, as other reviews have mentioned. I actually prefer it though since it's not as heavy and I don't have to worry about breaking it.

This is a pretty cool little sun tea maker
This is a pretty cool little sun tea maker. You should plan to use several small tea bags, not a single one-gallon tea bag because the little paddle will get stuck on the large tea bag.The little paddle does add to the flavor of the tea and works quite well. I like to set my tea in the Florida sun and enjoy the flavor. The little spigot works without issue.I'm rating this tea maker 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn't come with another lid that you can use after you've brewed the tea. I happened to find that the top of a plastic jar I was throwing into the recycle had the perfect size, so I'm all set with another top.

I LOVE this!
One of the FEW plastic Sun tea jars available. I don’t want glass out on the boat dock. Makes a great tasting tea. And I just love the little stir paddle (mostly for the look). It works like a charm as soon as it hits the sunlight.

Get the Additional Top
The product works well, but I didn't see that an additional cap/top needed. The solar spinner is inserted into the top that comes with the jug. That piece is removed once the tea is made, leaving a large hole in the top. The additional top is only $2.50 and I would have gladly purchased but didn't see that it was needed. I went to order afterwards and the shipping is almost $10. I'm not happy!

Works well. Cats love it.
I post when I've had a chance to use stuff first. Saw a complaint about the jar being plastic. I'm glad it is because I'm a typically coordinated engineer. It holds just under a gallon when you keep the level properly below the motor unit. 4 bags of lipton and and hour or so later, you're good to go. If you have cats, they can be mesmerized watching the paddle spin like our three are. There is nothing "heavy duty" about it so be gentle in handling, rinsing the paddle, etc.

Thin plastic. Can crush with one hand
Only plastic sun tea jar I’ve ever seen. Think cheep water bottle plastic. Would have never paid more than $10 for it had I known.
