After buying new rugs for the living, dining and utility rooms, I had to treat them with Scotchgard! That's the only way I'll have peace of mind about folks and kitty cats tramping through my house. The Scotchgard goes on easy, just shoot and spray. It'll need to be redone in six months or so, but it's worth it to protect the rugs and help them last longer. I even put this on the two draft stoppers for the front door and kitchen. Because they sit on the floor, I thought it best to Scotchgard the draft stoppers and help them look good longer. I've always scotchgarded new rugs and am convinced it works to resist moisture and stains. Now I'm looking for fabric scotchgard to put on my two new chairs and ottoman in the living room!

Easy to use. No smell. No notice of inhalant - No fog of it to the face like bug spray does or spray sunscreen. No bleeding issues in this rug, did a test spot. Rug came away same as before the spray, didn't feel or look too different, maybe a little loss in softness but that may adjust as the spray is still less than 24 hours on. Can't speak to actual stain guard at this point so far, a good purchase. It did cover a good area. My rug is bigger than 5x7 so I will need a second can. Wanted to test one before getting a second. Items I've had professionally Scotchguarded was worth the expense so I think this will be a good investment. It is sort of like a spray paint nozzle so my hand got sore before finishing but I just took breaks in spraying.

Works satisfactory

We had a sick dog and got this to help protect an area rug. We sprayed it liberally on the 8' x 6' rug before going to bed and it was dry by morning. There us still enough in the can for touch-ups. No tell-tale smell. No film on the feet when you walk across it. It did not alter the color of the carpet or damage it in any way. It has done the trick on wet or dry messes, making them easier to clean up. I would recommend this product. I think you could use it on furniture as well.

This stuff is awesome!!! I purchased a predominantly white rug for my kitchen knowing it would see heavy traffic and get filthy and wanted to protect it as specific design runners are hard to find. This absolutely did the trick! This pic is after treatment, heavy use, and washing! The rug still looks brand new, which is what I wanted! It has no odor, dries decently fast but that depends on how thick you spray it, easy to apply, and works great if used by directions, isn't sticky but does leave a film that you can feel, great price point for the type of product it is, and is very durable-the rug was down for over a month before washing. I now keep this on hand!

I was hoping for longer lasting protection from this product . Did not repel as much as I wanted so went back to scotch guard!

I LOVE this s scotch guard!! I use it on all my rugs and cream colored furniture. It makes a huge difference. Dirt just doesn’t stick . I have a blue and white rug in my entry and there is never any dirt or stains . I spray about every 3 months at night before bed and let it set overnight. There is a very slight oder , but goes way in seconds. The picture is of my rug I have had in my entry for two years . I have never shampooed just use this great scorch guard. Highly recommended!

No where on the item description or in the pictures does it talk about the potential harmful affect of the product on heart. It says it can be fatal as well. Surprised Amamzon is selling such a hazardous material on its site without any disclaimer!

Very easy to use with good results. Sprays on easily and has very minimal smell. Happily recommend product.
