Araki. 40th Ed.

This photo collection is very impressive .Except of the exceptional photography ,you also get good quality glossy paper and an album like book.For the money it costs ,i find its value great.

Book looks cool, sleek cover, nice artsy pics

A few pages show some significant pigment layer flaking. See attached photo for one of the worst offenders.

I had seen some of Araki's work on YouTube and found it interesting, if a little out there. The book looked substantial and the price was right so I thought I would give it a go. When it arrived........ let's just say it is not a light read. I found it offensive and quite embarrassing to the point that I did not know what to do with it. I did not want to keep it and there is no way that I was going to sell it on secondhand. In the end I sent it back to Amazon who, fair enough, refunded my money without question. This is a book that you probably would not want to leave lying around on your coffee table.

This book is smaller than I thought it was going to be, but is stuffed full of good quality images.

Make sure you know what you are ordering… very graphic photos….

El libro tiene una excelente calidad. Se entregó en condiciones perfectas, bien envuelto y empaquetado sin ningún maltrato. La compilación y los textos del trabajo de Araki son excelentes. Vale totalmente la pena. Excelente relación calidad-precio.

I picked this book up knowing literally nothing about the artist or the book, and I will say, I am very happy.First things first the book is just an extremely attractive book. Will look beautiful on a shelf or a table. Please note it is not coffee table book size, but still of a substantial size for a book. The bright red lettering on the spine is eye-catching and the image on the cover raises interest and practically beckons you to open the book and see what is inside.The interview with the artist is completely worth the read and a great introduction to what follows. The interview had my complete attention and excited me further to dive into the book.As for the art, it is certainly beautiful. Extremely erotic and graphic at times. A catalogue of the artists memories at others. I cannot really speak more in depth about all the art as I really just received this book earlier today but I am so excited to dive further into the book. The layout of the images is very good as well, bouncing from bondage and the erotic, to images of flowers, street photography, and more within short periods but never feeling too nonsensical despite the pure range of topics.This book is certainly a treat and I am very pleased to own it.
