Sunroof Motor Cog Repair Gear for Mercedes C E-Class W202 W203 W204 W210 W211 W212

At first I thought this would not fit my 2011 E350 4-Matic, but when I removed the motor entirely (three star-head bolts and one easily unclipped wire fitting) I realized the motor shaft had a slightly peened end. One could file off some of the peening to tap the gear into place, or, as I did, heat the gear up gently but medium to hot (definitely no color change or anything like that, just hot) then slip it over the shaft as far as possible then tap it all the way down the shaft gently but firmly. After that I was able to reinstall the motor and get it all back together. It was necessary to reset my sunroof, by putting the roof all the way to the rear that it would go on its own, then using an allen wrench slowly but surely get it all the way back (mine wouldn't go all the way back/open) then perform the rest procedure: UP 5 seconds, REAR 5 seconds, FORWARD 5 seconds (if yours doesn't do that then DOWN 5s) and then DOWN 5s.
