The Girls' Book of Wisdom: Empowering, Inspirational Quotes from over 400 Fabulous Females

This book is a compilation of girl's and women's quotes on different topics. I love to just randomly open it and see what speaks to me. Usually I open it to exactly the page I need at the moment. I got it to have around the house since I have two girls and want them to have as many empowering things around as possible !No complaints.

The inspirational quotes found in this book are very interesting. To me, it shows these folks (very powerful, significant women) are like everyone else. They live (lived) in a real world as we do. The comments are witty, humorous, serious, reflective, etc. But most import, easy to understand. It's a great book for sharing that in many ways, people have always had many of the same frustrations and challenges that are faced today.

I was looking for a inspirational book for my daughter and came across this little book, which was published a while ago, but still applicable to today's girls. My daughter likes to read it at night before bedtime, she reads one section and all of the quotes that follow it. Sometimes she'll pick something related to something that happened to her that day etc. She likes it when she recognizes the names of some of the women that have quotes in the book (writers, women activists, etc.)

This was received in a positive way.

Bought for my 11 yo daughter. Seemed to enjoy it but hard to tell what impact it will have.

Each page has an exceptional message - truly for any age. This is the type of book someone can read over and over, each time, taking away something relevant and valuable. Highly recommend!

Bought this for teen age granddaughter. I liked the wide range of women quoted along with their short quotes on many subjects. It is a light read that I think hope will appeal to my granddaughter during her young years. (At least, I hope so, the jury is still out as she is just receiving it now.) I would buy it again for another young girl, however.
