Camco 40013 TastePURE KDF/Carbon Water Filter , Blue

I use these filters on my RV and for refilling our spa/hottub. They seem to be very effective. Be sure to let a little water run thru them first to clear out and carbon dust (they are carbon filters).

These are the only filters I ever use with our RV, and they’re dependable and durable.

Filter works fine which is the main reason I got it. But the flexible hose protector that is needed at many spigots in order to fit the filter, broke after the first use. It split at a crimped seal.

I really like the easy of use of this water filter. Unlike some filters that need to be permanently installed, this easily installs right on the supply hose.The filter itself lasts for about a season of camping before water quality seems to start degrading. It is well made and for two seasons of using these has stood up to being left in a crate during travel. Having the short extension is necessary, as without it the filter would be mounted either right on a spigot or the trailer, both of which have the potential to be broken off. The water that comes out of the faucets always has a clean taste and with this filter, I have some faith that it is removing some potentially issues with campground water.The reason I took away one star is twofold. The first, is in one of the kits I have bought, the short extension leaked. This was not due to a washer as I replaced that, but the connection between the pipe and the female threads was not water tight. On another kit, I did not have this problem. Secondly, as with any filter, there is a drastic reduction of water pressure. In many campgrounds, this is not too noticeable, but there have been some places that I would need to do without the filter as it was nearly impossible to shower or wash dishes. Being a smaller filter, this is expected but in some cases a larger canister filter may permit better water flow.Overall, I do like using this filter for its ease of installation and continued use, as well as its effectiveness at filtering water.

So far so good -I don't have any complaints, smell or bad stuff from the water no matter where I refill. Seem to be effective -FYI - I don't drink the water in the RV so......

The pigtail hose to "Easily install" your filter is junk! The filter requires MUCH water flow to clean out loose carbon particles but works as designed. The pigtail hose is garbage...leaks like a sieve. Had to drive miles and miles to get another hose to replace the short pigtail hose so I could have filtered water at the campground.

Water filter works great, haven't had any issues with it.

Easy to install, water tastes great. Hook it up before the trailer and you have fresh water all season (going up to the trailer most weekends) money well spent.

Last year we filtered the drinking water in our RV with a Brita filter. After we bought this product, no need for another filter. The water tastes good right from the tap!
