I got this book to help me pass the national Certified Rhythm Analyst Technician exam. When I took the National Healthcare Alliance for Professionals EKG exam, I passed it. One attempt. The book helped me to land a job and do my job effectively as an EKG Monitor Technician.Pros: Goes over details of rhythms, anatomy of the heart, cardiac terminology and includes practice rhythms in the back with pacemaker rhythms.Cons: can be overwhelming to read and lengthy at first.

This book is very informative and complete, and actually fun to read. (and it is hard to make this stuff fun, but they somehow manage with the side-of-page cartoonlike illustrations)

I really do love this book but you cannot expect five stars when the illustrations and text do not match. This helped me get through my class, but I learned not to believe the illustrations when some of them and the captions were glaringly incorrect. It is too bad because the illustrations were supposed to make learning easier, not cause confusion....
