Flexzilla Air Hose, 1/4 in. x 25 ft., 1/4 in. MNPT Fittings, Heavy Duty, Lightweight, Hybrid, ZillaGreen - HFZ1425YW2

This review is for the Flexzilla Air Hose, 3/8 in. x 50 ft., 1/4 in. MNPT Fittings, Heavy Duty, Lightweight, HybridVery nice flexible hose. MUCH more flexible than the rubber air hose it replaced. The diameter of the hose is smaller than a rubber hose which makes it smaller when coiled up. I used this as a replacement hose on an retractable reel. The only problem was the hole was too big in the rubber "stopper" at the end that keeps the hose from retracting too far. I just cut an inch of old rubber hose off and split it to use as a filler to make up for the difference in diameter.

This Flexzilla air hose is awesome. Super flexible and easy to work with. It’s also very lightweight. I would recommend this air house.

I purchased the 3/8” 50-ft hose. True, it is much lighter and a more flexible hose than others I have owned and It does not kink, but I would argue the point that it “coils easily and lays flat with zero memory”. Not so. It twists and holds tight coils very easily and I have to pull out all 50 ft, lay it out flat by un-coiling it every time I want to put it away. I bought this purposely because I wanted a hose easy to wrap up and hang. This is NOT that hose. On all other counts this is a great hose but having to untwist the coils before putting away has become tiresome. Maybe a heavier all-rubber hose would hang better?

I use this hose mainly for inflating tires on one of my 6 gallon pancake air compressors. It has worked perfectly for me so far, does not leak at all, and handles 100psi with ease. Even when fully charged up, I am easily able to untwist the hose if it starts bunching up. It's truly worth the extra spend over a traditional cheaper polymer hose that turns into stiff rock when fully charged. In my opinion, the Flexzilla hybrid hoses are truly fantastic. I also use the Flexzilla hybrid pressure washer hose (water pressure washing), and it's made my pressure washing experiences so much better in terms of unravelling the hose and pulling it where I need it to be. The polymer pressure washing hoses could never do that. If I moved the hose, it will always go right back to the same spot because it's too stiff. Use these hybrid hoses. they are so much better.

The hybrid hoses in general are great. They're light, abrasion resistant, don't kink too bad, very little memory, and at least the Flexzilla ones aren't really affected by UV. Flexzilla, maybe worse than some of the others, does get pretty grubby looking - I think half of it is the color. That being said, the neon green color makes it less likely to get walked on or tripped over I suppose too. I'd say that is really the biggest downside, one of the biggest benefits to me has been working with them when it's cold out - still very flexible.
