Alchemical Healing: A Guide to Spiritual, Physical, and Transformational Medicine

I have read a lot of books on magic and spirituality..... This book is very fun and easy to read - I breezed through it in about a week. One thing I liked about the book is that it introduces you to a lot of different topics, and that it doesnt over-promise too much or make magic seem like a fix-it-all pill. Nikki's personal story also adds some fun playfulness to the book, and keeps it from getting too preachy or dry like some books on healing.For me, the information wasn't very new.... All things I have heard before explained in similar ways. I think because the book covers so many topics, you only get a little taste of each one. Here is just a little info about the elements, then a little info about Egyptian gods and Alchemy, then a little info about Huna..... The author obviously has a very eclectic practice. I found the focus to be more of a core-shamanism type approach then anything that had to do with alchemy - actually, I think alchemy could have been left out of the title, since there is no actual alchemy in the book (nothing like spagyrics or other basic alchemy practices).This book is better then many of the beginner books I have read, but I would consider it a beginner book. If you are interested in New Agey type healing, and want to get a quick overview on a bunch of fun random subjects, then this is probably a good book for you.Another reviewer mentioned "Healing With Form, Energy and Light: The Five Elements in Tibetan Shamanism, Tantra, and Dzogchen" and if you like working with the elements, I would second this recommendation. The book goes very deep into healing with the elements, but is a little more advanced then this one (could be hard for some people to get into)Another book I think readers of this book might enjoy is "Medicine for the Soul" by Ross Heaven. If you like the core-shamanism type journeys from Nikkis book, then you will like Ross's book, which teaches you how to get the most from your journey work.If you are looking for authentic Egyptian magic, I would recommend the Emerald Tablet, Corpus Hermetica, The Egyptian Book of the Dead, and The Greek Magical Papyri (all based on real Egyptian magic, a little different then what Nikki teaches in this book).If you want to learn about real alchemical practices like making herbal medicines and spagyrics, I recommend Richard Bartlett's "Real Alchemy".

Complete with detailed healing methods, examples, meditations and journeys, this guide can be life transforming for the person who not only reads the information, but commits to practicing and applying it.As a healer practitioner myself for many years, and trained in many modalities, I found Alchemical Healing to be one of the most profound methods I've worked with, and I highly recommend it. This very thoughtful heart offering by Nicki Scully is well worth reading for anyone interested in starting hands on healing as well as those experienced healers. She teaches very wise boundaries along with well grounded techniques. The instructions are clear and effective. The anecdotes are very helpful. She is a responsible teacher and guide to the Egyptian pantheon. I recommend purchasing a printed copy as it is easier to reference when performing initiations and meditations. I will be rereading this soon

This is an excellent book! Ms. Scully is very knowledgeable and her writing is very clear and easy to read and understand. I was impressed by her spiritual experiences and what she has gained from them. If you want to move a few steps higher in your spiritual growth you should buy this book.

Alchemichal Healing is a very well written book. The author is articulate in her expression and her guidance is powerfully simple to follow. A fantastic guide book for those who want to bring more awareness of the energies of alchemy into their spiritual practice and into personal integration.

Is an amazing read so far, love nicki scullys works, definitely worth the money. Everything she talks about and the initiations are very helpful. I would love to read all of her works in the future. The way she talks about each of the gods is only possible when one has a deep and meaningful relationship with each of them.
