Solved problem
They should include a new gasket. Thanks to other reviews, I knew to order one. I was getting misfires on my BMW 330ci when I approached 1/2 tank of gas. Also, an o2 sensor code. After viewing install instructions on You Tube, I took the plunge and bought this. Works great!

Never worked out of the box
Unfortunately I never installed the pump until a few months after I bought it, deadline past to return it. It was junk right out of the box, I've installed several fuel pumps like this before so it wasn't an error on my part, just a bad pump.
