The crown of the hat is only about 2 1/2 to 3 inches deep, so it might be effective for a bald person. It sits so high on the head that the brim provides no relief from the sun for either your eyes or back of the neck. I was no disappointed.

It is very shallow and does not sit deep.
Not very comfortable or well made. Looks kind of odd with the shiny dots. It is a knock-off of a hat I really liked that was not available. This one has a really shallow crown so it works on a small head only. I have a small head and it's ok. But it's still too wide. It's short and wide. And the lining falls down uncontrolably. I actually really would not recommend this to anyone. I will only wear it in my yard where NO ONE will see it.

Hat Crown
I disliked this hat mainly because the crown is only 2 1/2" high, the circumference of the crown is not adequate for a person with a medium-sized head with a full head of hair. Not good for people who wear a LG, to XL hat size.

Comical looking
Got this for my grandson. It looks like something people would put on their head to keep someone from reading their thoughts. Comical.

My husband works outside in heat and sun and he is very pleased with this hat - very comfortable and reflects the sun!

It keeps the sun off
I wear i down to the mailbox too - I sprayed it on the brim with bug repellent & it works great in & out of the garden
