Loved but price is too high

I bought this for my home studio AND this thing works like a champ for all music application for your music...

Il prodotto è parzialmente deludente sia per la scarsa qualità della meccanica di tastiera, ma comunque rientrante nei limiti accettabili, ma sopratutto se acquistato con un I pad di ultima generazione, che possiede un connettore lighting piccolo (come gli ultimi I phone). Necessita un adattatore, e deve essere originale Apple. Ne ho acquistato uno in un supermercato ed è stata una spesa inutile dato il non corretto funzionamento degli adattatori di terze parti. L app synthstation non è eccezionale e spero di poter usare la tastiera con delle applicazioni più complete, come quella che avevo già preso sull app store, completa di sequencer multitraccia e controlli estesi, disponibile a prezzo modesto, ma della cui integrazione non è fatto cenno nel manuale, che prevede la sola app proprietaria. Insomma a distanza di un mese dall acquisto ancora non riesco a testare il prodotto . Indispensabile affiancare indicazioni sui connettori e sulle compatibilità con app professionali, riferendosi almeno agli standard e al loro uso.

Die Akai SynthStation 49 ist an sich genial, aber leider nicht ganz perfekt. Es hapert ein wenig mit der Passform der iPad-Halterung, der mitgelieferte Abstandshalter ist auch nicht wirklich passgenau, aber das iPad lässt sich dennoch ganz gut hier einhängen. Leider auch ein wenig Abzug in der Wahl der Materialien. Zwar sind die Tasten wirklich sehr professionell beim Spielen, an sonst macht das Gerät aber leider für Akai einen recht billigen Eindruck, was am gewählten Kunststoff liegt. Sonst wäre dieses Gerät wirklich perfekt!

I've only just unboxed this device but already it is exceeding the expectations I had from online reviews. Before plugging the iPad in I gave it a try with Garageband on the Mac. I was half hoping but not expecting the USB to provide power to the device and indeed it does - you only need use the power adaptor when the iPad is in place.Everything feels solid including the mod and pitch wheels. The drum pads can be used to play the drums in Garageband and so far I've nothing negative to say. It looks and feels like a professional keyboard, which given the low price is utterly surprising because I would've expected to pay at least twice the price I did for a four octave midi controller keyboard of this kind.Granted there are no traditional midi ports but to be honest I bought this for ease of composition on iPad and desktop not for chaining together a lot of kit.A few notes after testing with the iPad:(1) when you place the iPad in the dock the iPad's speaker is disabled, you need headphones or an amp/speaker(s) of some kind to hear the output(2) the SynthStation app is good for making the most of the keyboard and drum pad combo but it only records one midi track at a time, so you'll still need to record drums and keyboard separately even though you can perform them together

Whilst it's designed for an iPAD (which usually charges in the docking station on the unit) I mainly use this with Logic Pro X on my Mac but also tried it with Garageband and it works great. I chose this over a regular keyboard because of it's size and happy that I can use it on the sofa whilst sitting comfortably as well as in the studio.The keys are full size and the controls are nicely put together and everything seems solid enough.The device works off 6v DC mains power or runs off the power from your computer via USB but as far as I am aware, batteries can not be inserted.There's obviously some flaws as per previous reviews but for the price it has exceeded every expectation I had.
