Instructions
I just received the Sougayilang Model 4000 spinning reel. The reel appears to more than meet my expectations and the quality appears to be very good (I will not get a chance to actually use the reel until later this year). While going through the instructions manual, I found that there are a couple of confusing items: (1) It says to tie your line to the "Arbor", but there is no mention on the diagram of an "Arbor"; (2) It mentions using "Oil Injection" and you are supposed to spray in the "Maintenance Port". However, there is no mention of where that is located either in the text or in any diagrams. When I went to "Product Support" through the Amazon order area (as instructed), when I click on "Support", I cannot get to support (page cannot be found).

Decent Reel for the price
Not a bad little reel, bought the 1000 series for my son's ultra light trout setup. I feel like it's more a 1500-2000 style compared to my Okuma Ceymar C-20 (Okumas 1000 series) see pics for comparison.... This reel does have good cast-ability, spins nice, drag has a nice feel to it. The only complaints my son and myself have with it is the handle and the line holder.... for the handle assembly the shaft itself is fine, but the big bulbous foam knob is annoying... It's like they stuffed a small bobber on the shaft and called it a day.... The line hold/stay is just a little brass button that doesn't stick out past the spool and doesn't hold the line at all, Other than small petty things, it seems pretty good

Smooth reel and easy casting
With12 bearings this reel is ultra smooth. I use 14 and 17 lb. test mono and can make long casts with it with only a 1/2 oz jig head. The drag works great and I’ve had no issues with the reel after the first season. I especially like the bigger knob on the handle which is more comfortable for me for cranking. I liked the reel so much I bought another one and one for my brother which he’ll get this Christmas. For the price it’s an outstanding reel.Update: I have been using the reel for almost .2 years and it still works great. I had a small problem with the bail and Sougayilang sent me a new reel. Outstanding reel and customer! Thanks Sougayilang!

2500 series reel. Not bad. Not great
I purchased this as a back up to my back up and it worked great. The only thing that bothered me enough to just spend a little more to not have to used this one is the handle itself just felt very cheap. It was a very hard foam and I just did not like the way it felt. I prefer the Winn grip designs or the t grip and this is some king of tear drop. I ened up fishing it for a few hours just because I wanted to see how it performed and the drag works well enough to catch 4 lb large mouth bass so no real worries there.

Great Reel, Great Price
For the price this is an AWESOME reel. I gave it to my 7 year old 2 months ago and it’s still holding up great after at least 2-3 days of use per week. We live near the water (saltwater) & go fishing all the time. The only downside at this point is that the housing screws have started to rust. The reel itself is still really smooth so I’m guessing they didn’t use stainless screws for the reel housing to cut costs. I’ll probably go to the hardware store and just replace the screws with what the manufacturer should have used to begin with on a reel that’s advertised as “saltwater”.I find that just replacing reels every couple of years is just as efficient as getting a reel serviced (replacement bearings aint cheap)

Medium Light Fishing reel
Haven't had a chance to actually use the reel yet, hence the 4 out of 5 but all looks and feels like it will function well.
