This is my second one!
This works great! I had my first one for about 3 years, and used it daily. It allows me to use small amounts of cooking oil, and I'm able to coat the pan just like using a spray. It never clogged. Then one day I dropped it and it hit my frying pan just right and broke. It is glass, after all. I got online and looked for a replacement. None of the items that have come on the market in the past 3 years seems like it would work any better, so I bought another one. I love it.

Pretty but doesn't work
Rated 1 star only because this looks attractive; but it doesn't work. The spray mister comes with no instructions and only a tiny photo on the box that says "pump before use." The plastic pump tube was pushed all the way down over the nozzle when packaged, and it is very difficult to pull up. When the tube is attached to the cover as in the tiny photo and you try to pump, it detaches from the cover and stays over the nozzle. So you have to manually pull the tube up and down (with difficulty)to get the air out. I used water to test this, and I could see that water was going up the intake tube in the bottle. But the nozzle does not depress, so nothing can come out. Totally useless.

trim the fat!
Never used an oil mister before, always used PAM spray. But when you realize that oil has 120 cal per tbls, cutting the fat is very important. After adding ~1.5 inches of oil to this sprayer, and using it almost daily, it's taken a month to use a half inch! That's (probably) about 6 tbls of oil, whereas before, I would have gone through several cups in the same period. That really trims the fat!Spray mechanism is very good. Unit is clean, light, effective. No complaints, highly recommend!

it was easier to just throw it away then try to return it.
I originally bought a round one and it worked fine. It rolled off the kitchen countertop and shattered on the floor. I bought a replacement which came square. Never worked with a deadly. I threw it away. Bought different brand name product which works fine.

Works Great!
I bought this unit to use for canola oil. I love the fact that it came with a red cap to easily distinguish it from the silver one I bought 2 years ago that I use for olive oil. Easy to fill, use and clean. The other unit is still working well after 2 years so it should be durable. This mister really helps me use a lot less oil when I cook. So much better for my non-stick coated pans than non-stick spray with only a few more calories.

Don' waste your money.
No direction on how to use was the firsst issue. After watching a Youtube video I found out how to presureize it. It would not work. I poured the oil out , rewashed the bottle and filled it with water for a test. Yea, it sprayed water. I refilled with oil and it would NOT work. I poured a few drops of oil down the pump shaft to prime it and it works. It is slow to pump up as the pump moves very little air into the champer. You have to pump it for every use as it loses the air pressure. Buy a quality stainless steel Evo and be happy with your purchase.

Oil Mister works but...
After reading other reviews and looking at lots of different products, I selected this oil mister. I like that the oil is held in a glass container so no off-flavors get transferred. The pump works fine, but you have to pump 20-25 times to get a mist spray that lasts more than a few seconds. At 25 pumps the sprayer will last to cover a baking pan, a large cast iron frying pan or a large casserole dish. I have learned to only fill the glass container 2/3 full to maximize the spray effect. If the glass is full, you cannot pump very many times and the spray comes out in a stream not a mist. I wish the sprayer parts were not all plastic.

Fine spray, but lots of pumping
I selected this unit after reading several independent articles that reviewed misters. After doing so it became apparent that most misters actually produce a small stream. Not so with this mister - it gives a very nice fine mist. This is what I wanted. However, the need for constant pumping is tedious. On one batch of pressure I can spray the bottom of a medium sauté pan. But for larger or repetetive tasks I need to pump several times before each spray. Also, it seems incapable of holding pressure if the oil is any lower than 1/2 full. Since it is unhealthy to just constantly top-off old oil, which will eventually go rancid, this is a concern. The darned thing is - when reading reviews there is not one single unit that gives a fine mist and that holds pressure for any length of time. So I may already have the best available product for my needs. I will look at reviews and other products again before I order a second mister.I have been using this almost daily with sunflower oil, for a coupe, of weeks and it has never clogged. I washed it once and appreciated the ability to get a brush inside the container. I use it to spray my air popped corn, and then stir in Cheese powder - I en dup with a really decadent snack that ha slow calories. But I need to spray and stir, pump, spray and stir, pump - many times for one bowl of corn. It just does not hold them pressure.
