Looks authentically old!
This is a metal lock that actually works with the key, the product itself is built well and is an excellent value for the price!

DECORATIVE lock is Awesome... But its "DECORATIVE".
I have seen many people complaining that this lock is not sturdy and is not functional. It does function, its just not something your going to want to use to protect your valuables. We have it on our liquor cabinet, and it is the perfect accent. We know that if someone REALLY wanted to get in there, this lock would not stop them. But it definitely is a deterrent from unauthorized parties (AKA Teenagers) from taking the occasional sip... Its has a great look and is the perfect size.

Cute Lock & Key
This is great to go with my antique treasure chest box. It is black metal, but looks like plastic. Only thing to make this better is to have an antique looking finish, instead of smooth black finish.

Pretty but Not Heavy Duty
It was very authentic looking. I was using it to lock our treasure box for the kids at our Counseling Clinic. Very quickly the insides fell apart. The key was unusable. In the defense of the product, it probably was opened and closed 250-300 times. So it held up pretty well, but wasn’t designed for heavy traffic. It operated as it was described, just don’t expect longevity with continuous use.

Heavy!
We used this as a unity at my friends wedding! It turned out perfect. The locks are heavy. The locks do lock and unlock you just have to fully turn it. I suggest you if you are using as a unity at wedding that you practice beforehand.

It locked once, and no longer locks again.
It is a neat product, and the visual appearance is very vintage looking, but if you need this to actually function, then you are out of luck. I tried using it immediately after it was delivered. It locked one time, and then quit working after that.

It does exactly what it is supposed to it is not a super lock.. If you are having a hard time getting it to lock and unlock it's because you turn the key a full 360ﾟ
