What are the colors used? I’ve seen other pictures online where the gray in this set are replaced with bright blue, and most where it is a charcoal

In my opinion, if you look up Sherwin Williams paint colors, the blue plate - Aleutian blue. The orange plate - Copper wire. The tan plate - Sandbar. The cream plate - White Dove. I ordered 1 set because I was unsure of the colors. When I received my set, I was extremely happy because they were the colors I wanted. More earthy tones and not bright, so I ordered another set. Hope this helps.

When microwaved, do the plates get hot enough to require a hot pad?

I have noticed that they are great in the microwave and mostly heat the food while the bowl stays warm. I haven’t needed a towel or any pad to hold the plate or bowl after heating.
