Bought these last year and decided to buy another set this year. They changed adapters so now I can't add on. No where do they tell you this. Ridiculous. Will never buy again and tell everyone I know to stay away from this brand of lights.

I bought this same product last year (Christmas 2019). We love them because they settle the white vs. color lights debate in our household. Thinking I might want some more in case any break, I just bought extra strings in January 2021. The male/female adapters on the ends are COMPLETELY different (see photos). Nowhere is this reflected in the product listing! I had to return them because they are incompatible and thus unusable.So if you are supplementing lights that match the photos, or if you are buying these for the first time (bear in mind you need the starter kit, which is sold separately), then I would recommend these based on the lights I already own. But I’m a little suspect of this company now knowing that they change the product so frequently. It seems like a scam to require the customer to buy a new starter kit with each change.

Positive - I love the changing color lightsNegative - The lights do not work well with electronic timers.

I purchased the starter set and a few sets of these lights 2 years ago to use on our tree. Fast forward two years, I buy 2 more sets to add on and they are using different connections now. The packaging is the EXACT SAME, same part number, and no indication that they have changed. I called National Tree's customer service number and their only solution is for me to spend $5.00 for an adapter, per set! They don't even sell the adapter online anywhere, you would have to call them to get it. Long story short, I did not buy the adapters and will be returning the 2 new sets for a refund. Horrible customer service and honestly, the lights are waaaay overpriced. One of the sets I originally bought has about 2' of white LED lights that don't work. Do yourself a favor, and look for a different brand.
