Very cute
This is the cutest little rice cooker! I’ve been searching for a rice cooker that’s good for 1-2 people. I have a 10 cup rice cooker that takes up a lot of space and I really just use that for when I have company over. This rice cooker is the perfect size for just me. As you can see, it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, and it’s easy to tuck away. Rice cooks pretty quickly. So far I’ve only cooked a cup of uncooked rice (1 cup uncooked + 1 cup water) which I think makes about 2 cups? I don’t like my rice too mushy or too firm, but I found the 1-to-1 ratio perfect. It’s also very easy to clean, barely have to scrape any rice off the inner bowl and I no longer need to soak it in water. It comes off pretty easily. Cooking is fast, I haven’t actually timed it, but I’d say maybe 10 minutes or less for 1 cup? Anyway, I would definitely recommend this rice cooker. Yes, it cooks less rice but its a little more expensive... but you’re paying for quality. I’ve purchased a cheap 3 cup to 6 cup rice cooker made of poor quality material and didn’t last long. I’m happy with my purchase and think it was definitely worth it. Rice cooked perfectly and tastes so much better.

Perfect for Single people and portion control
I have a fancy rice pot, but I am single and usually only cook for one meal. My fancy rice pot required I cook several cups that I would just waste. Plus, I'm on a diet and rice is my kryptonite. If I wasn't wasting it, then I was eating it. I needed to be able to cook enough for one meal. So I searched for mini rice cooked and this was one of the options. I received it today, and it is very tiny and cute. I used the measuring cup that came with it and put 1 scoop into the pot. When it was done, I had the perfect amount of rice for one person to eat. I weighed it and it was a little under 4 ounces. There was room to have cooked more, but, like I said, I am trying to practice portion control. The rice came out perfectly cooked, and I am very happy with the purchase.

Does the job
Made well, just large enough for one, which is exactly what I was looking for. It takes a while longer than traditional cooking methods, but rice comes out perfect. Got this to use while traveling and car camping, but I also use at home now. (Much better than using the precooked, heat in a microwave packets.) I’ve used w farro, quinoa, brown and white rice all w good outcomes. I like that I don’t have to babysit a pot on the stove. Would have given 5 stars if it cooked just a little bit faster but overall, very happy w purchase. Easy peasy to clean.

Perfectly cooked rice in about 45 minutes
I only use Kokuho Rose, a short grain rice, so I can't speak to long grain or brown rice, but to me, it is the best rice cooker I have ever had. I'd think it would be equally effective for other types of rice.200g Kokuho Rose, 320g water, start, perfect rice in about 45 minutes (Test case, starting with 75ºF water took 46:30). Results is about 490g perfectly cooked rice from which I get two or three servings. There is nothing that I dislike about this product, and I suggest nothing better for a single person or a couple. For larger batches, I would use an Instant Pot with 600g rice, 910g water, Hi Pressure for 5 min., natural release. Perfect rice.Note. The instructions call for a bit more rice and water, which caused my rice to pile up a bit against the lid, and from which I arrived at my recipe of 200g rice and 320g water. Interesting that it lost about 30g of water while cooking. The Instant Pot loses almost no water while cooking.Yes, it takes longer for this appliance to cook rice than many other methods, but I find the ease of use and the consequences well worth the wait.

Mixed Feelings
Amazon didn’t let me post the first review, because in it I complained that the first one I received looks used.Anyway, I got a replacement. It’s better than the first one, but not perfect. The inner lid looks scratched, but I’m not going to fuss over it.It’s easy to use and clean. Does look very cute. But just as another review mentioned, it does take about 35 minutes to cook one cup of rice, as it’s only 100W—somewhat underpowered. Similar rice cooker of this size is usually at least 200w.Then why I bought it? Because the inner lid can be removed for thorough clean. A lot of mini rice cookers’ inner lids are not removable.

Nice little rice cooker
I wanted a small rice cooker that didn't take up a lot of counter space and could cook a fair amount of rice. Took a chance on the Tayama Rice Cooker. It is very small. I cooked 1 cup of Mahatma brand white rice. It took exactly 54 minutes to finish, so not quick. Made about two small servings. The slow cooking time could be attributed to the small 100 watt's of power it uses. The rice turned out just fine. Since it uses such a small amount of wattage, this will be perfect for our RV. As the instructions say, I will have to play with the water amounts to perfect the cooking process. Overall, I'm pleased with this product. It should clean easily as long as you do it as soon as possible. We will see about longevity.

Ease of use and portable size
This is one of the smartest purchases I've made. I was working quite a bit from my room and with little time to make my meals, this little rice cooker fits the bill. I don't have to make my way out to the kitchen and it doesn't take up much space at all on top of my mini fridge. It makes the perfect amount of food for one person. It's also super easy to clean, I don't use metal utensils to scoop out the rice and this helps preserve the non stick coating. The only down side is it takes a little longer than regular sized cookers, but for my purposes, it's fine since I set it when I have a small break, and leave it on warm until I'm ready to eat. I've had this for a few months now and I can see myself enjoying it for years to come!

Very very slow
Beside the fact that it's very very slow cooking, it's really nice and gets the job done(very slowly). Help you not waste rice.

Great Little Rice Cooker
I bought this to replace my large rice cooker. I wanted something that could cook smaller amounts. This little gem is super small but it cooks a batch of rice perfectly and just enough for one or two people. It's simple to use and easy to clean.

buen funcionamiento
Está muy bonita y el arroz queda muy bien, el problema que tengo es que el botón de encendido no se apaga y no indica en que momento está listo el arroz, fuera de eso funciona bien
