I'm not sure what the negative reviews are all about. Could be I spent 18 years as a mechanic and have a mechanical aptitude, but they worked perfectly.But anyway, these are perfect for tapping into an existing wire for power or to add additional devices to an existing circuit.MAKE sure that you are using the proper connector for the right size WIRE!!! NOT the outer diameter of the insulation, but the actual wire gauge. Wire insulation varies by quite a bit.Also, make sure that the spade connector is pushed in all the way. IE...until the insulation of the spade connector touches the body of the tap.Make sure that you have NOT pushed the wire to FAR into the spade connector. If you do, you will not have a connection to the wire / spade connector.Use a multi-meter to verify the spade connector is correctly crimped to the wire.On The CONS side, they are NOT made of nylon. But that's not an issue if you use it in a normal environment. In a cold environment I could see that they may become brittle. Other than that these are worth the discounted price compared to 3M connectors.

Works very well on stranded wire. Crimp on solid wire is just bad to start with so do not expect them to be tight on solid wire.

The container was damaged prior to shrink wrapping as it had 2 shrink wraps and labels applied one over the top but first one had a hold in it and one of the lid securing tabs broken off along with large piece of container and shrink wrapped again over the top of damage and broken pieces. I haven't counted the contents yet.I have used these type of connectors previously and this adds a dimension in that I can remove the added wire after I take my test readings and can easily reconnect if necessary.

I wasn't sure if I should order these at this price because many others are low quality plastic that do not latch well and do not connect well. I was very impressed by the quality of these connectors. Very firm connection.
