Hue products are useless without the hub. That's how they get you.
Like all hue products they talk a good game but even the Bluetooth ones are useless without a hub or Google/ Alexa device.This was definitely not clear when I bought the product. If I accidentally swith the on/off manually it knocks off the app settings and I have to reset them again. I decided it try the whole hue set up anyway to see if it all works seamlessly if it doesn't it's going back for a refund and a strongly worded complaint to Philips.Their bulbs are way overpriced to have then work randomly when they feel like it. The Internet of things is still a risky investment of you ask me. Caveat Emptor.
