VILTROX L116T RA CRI95 Super Slim LED Light Panel 3300K-5600K Bi-Color LED Video Light for DSLR Camera(without battery)

Nobody understands lux and lumens. I just set it up at 100% and 5600K in a normal darkened room with a sekonic lightmeter. All ISO1600 and f2.8. At 1m I had 1/80th, at 2m 1/25th and at 3m 1/15th. It's powerful enough to be fill against soft window light for example, but not much use outdoors against the sun.Compared to the aputure AL-M9 it's only a tiny bit brighter. Say 1/3 or 1/2 a stop. But softer and battery will last longer. They're different products of course, but it's the only light I have to compare it to here.How soft it is depends how close you are. If you get it really close like 12 inches, you might consider it soft enough for youtube videos. More likely it'll be fill light opposite something bigger. Depends what ISO and aperture you accept.I've got the DSTE brand of sony NP-F style batteries. They say 2900mAh and they last 2hrs+35mins.

First of all lets start with the power source... it DOES NOT come with batteries or a charger, they need to be bought separately. Several reviewers have given 1 star reviews because of this despite the description stating (not included)…This LED panel is ideally suited for studio / still life photography. We did try using it as fill in flash outdoors whilst doing wildflower photography and it really didn't cut it. I am not sure how useful it is for vlogging but for portrait photography again it is not up to the task unless you are shooting up close and you can get the light within around 30 - 40cms of your model.I have decided to rate this as 3 stars purely because I think the description is slightly misleading, however I didn't want it for vlogging anyway - choosing only to keep it for still life photography, where I think it is very useful.

I'm stunned by the quality of this light for the cheap price. The CRI is high, the light is soft and great to use both as a camera top light or on a stand as a back light. To be honest, it would have been great if it came with a mains adaptor but for what I use it for, it's a fantastic little panel.

Why can’t you state this in the title or description? How hard is that?Now it’s mentioned somewhere at the bottom that no one usually reads. And what first-time buyer would think it’s coming non-operational.I needed this for this weekend and now I need to source a battery (which is not v clear which as no related products shown).This is going back.

I have 3 other LED lights similar to this one but after getting this i havent even touched the other ones , this is so good, i use it for filming stuff sometimes photography if i need to quickly use a light but most of the time i am using it to light my face when i am streaming video games and its literally the best for it i think by far until you get to top tier lights that cost way over 100 pounds

I did not like the fact that it did not come with a battery. It did not say you will need to get a battery and because it's from China the instructions are nonsense.

I bought as I needed some light for a photography project,And it allowed me to do that. And have found it useful where I've needed a light source for other projectsAnd the adjustable brightness and colour temp is goodI had to buy a separate power supply.
