Awesome way to stay connected
We have had our Portal Plus for over a year. Love love this device!! All our kids live in other cities and we video chat almost daily. If your family lives far away this is the best way to watch your grandchildren grow. We’ve had family dinners together, played all kinds of games, birthdays parties even shared Christmas mornings together!! Have no bad reviews to share. I’d suggest to everyone to buy the portal!

WARNING!! The warranty is only for 1 year! Extremely disappointed in Portal product and Support
Purchase an extended warranty or pray your machine doesn't stop working after the first year.The main purpose of this review is to warn people that:1. The Portal Support system is not well managed.2. Buy an extended warranty if you don't want to find yourself throwing out a $400 machine.We purchased this in November of 2018 as a gift for my mother in law to keep in touch with her grandchildren who moved out of town. It was working fine until Xfinity had an outage. It reset itself and wouldn't work anymore. When we tried to reset to factory settings the touchscreen no longer worked. I went through all the troubleshooting I could find on the portal support, AND sat on a chat with support for an hour doing exactly the same thing. I was told there was nothing more I could do to solve the issue of restoring the product. I understand that Portal doesn't think they need to do anything about it because *technically* it was Xfinity's outage that caused the touchscreen to stop working. (I THINK. This was never told to me, just a hunch). I then requested a phone call to talk to an actual person - Portal support does not provide a phone number. You request a call and they open a ticket. I never got a phone call. Just multiple emails telling me that there is nothing they can do because the warranty is expired. Again, I requested a phone call from a supervisor or manager. I received another email telling me there is nothing more I could do.Bottom line: We spent nearly $400 on a product that had a one year warranty and stopped working after 2 1/2 years.

There is a shortage in my plug in some time it works well and sometimes not . Otherwise I love it

I have one of these and it stopped working and even reset it still doesn't work
The media could not be loaded. I have one of these and it stopped working and even reset it still doesn't work so I think it's a defect in the item that Facebook Meta has to find a fix these is not a cheap item so when I tried to find out what I can do to get it working so I'll say stop saling them, I have a few other Portal items the is working ok but this one i would not tell anyone to buy I!!!
