Took too long to connect. Look at instructions below.
So after 3 hours of trying to connect this thing to my phone, it finally does what it was intended to do.Follow these instructions which only works on the app that is recommended by the manufacturer, which is a shame which I wanted a more well known app Smart Home.Go on the Tuyp app after you've been forced to sign up with them (you don't need to provide your personal email).Go to lighting section and then go to Lighting (BLE + WiFi)Switch light on 6 times ( don't do it too fast nor too slow) you may need to do this a few times for it to go to connection mode.Wait patiently and be prepared to do this maybe 40/50 times with a 100 second timer. If you're lucky for it to connect at this point you can assign it to Google or Amazon echo.Good luck!

Nice Light
The media could not be loaded. The light is great once working however it took a while to set up because we have Virgin Internet and you have to force the Virgin Hub to turn off the 5Ghz signal otherwise the app will not connect to the light.Once setup though it is great you can use the app to configure the light how you want such as changing the brightness and colours and setting if you want it too cycle through colours or to be static etcI would have gave it 5 stars but had to mark it down because if it was truly smart it should be able to recognise the right Wi-Fi signal to connect without having to change router settings.

Like living in a lighthouse
I bought 2 of these lights for my kitchen. I normally just use the front light. They looked a bit flimsey and cheap but once up you didn't notice too much. They were easy to install after turning off 5g on my router and they connected to the app at the first attempt. They're very bright - ideal for the kitchen. Great I thought! Then the gremlins took over and they got a mind of their own.........Lights would switch on randomly - no rhyme nor reason. Day and night. When they'd been on for half an hour or so they would start flashing on and off, again for no apparent reason. It was like being in a lighthouse. I asked the supplier a question about this, they replied it was the wi-fi connection. (see above) Huh? I have other wi-fi lights and sockets none of the others flash and act like they're possessed. They said if I had further problems to e-mail but they didn't give me an email address! I downloaded other apps all connected to the lights with several variations of connection - BLE-wi-fi , wifi etc, no problem, but the flashing and spooky self lighting continued. I connected one of them to a wi-fi extender nearer to the light, this had the 5g wi-fi element turned off just in case it was the 5g that interferred - (don't know if that's possible) but that hasn't helped. At first the issue was with the front end light which I used mostly. I sent that back and ordered another - same problem; so that's going back and I was left with the light at the other end of the kitchen - and - after half an hour of being switched on that too started it's shinanigans. Flashing on and off like a disco diva, turning itself on whenever; that's going back too. All in all a bit of a disaster. I've had to buy 2 more lights so I can send these back without being left in the dark. Would I recommend - no way - customer service? Useless - Amazon? great money back no quibble.

Great sensory aid for people on the ASD spectrum
Easy to fit and secure with electricians connector blocks. Connection to WiFi with the Tuya app was easy via IOS. Flick the light switch on and off a few times to pair up with the app and we then were able to alter the settings from there. Our son has autism and this has been a great sensory calmer for him. At night we set it to red with the lowest brightness so that if he wakes and turns the light on, as he often does, it doesn’t over stimulate him and it keeps him calm. We’ve had no issues so far with it. The only thing that was a little disconcerting at first was that there is about a 2 second delay when turning on at the switch to the light actually coming on. Aside from that, no issues.

Not brilliant, install with caution
This is easy to install and is very bright. However...My issue is with the internal connectors which are rubbish. I've already had to take it down because the light was flickering. The connector to the power lead is substandard and doesn't hold the wire securely. There's an old electricians saying... Loose wires cause fires. Install with caution.Oh yeah, and the plastic disc in the middle of the light fell off within 2 days off it being on the ceiling!

so so
this came and its not that bad, not the brightest light but is sufficient for my sons box room, I wouldn't put this in a normal sized bed room, youll probably need 3 spaced out if you wanted to do thatanyway, the light went up pretty easily, then 2 days later the little silver disc in the middle popped off, then last night the white plastic disc also popped off.my son who is only 4 and couldn't possibly reach the light came down woth it in his hands,I have now put it back up, but I'll see how long it takes for it to come back off.the light seems very cheaply made, but its what I expected for the money.over all 3 out of 5 stars for my so far, but if it keeps breaking, then 1 out of 5 as its not fit for purpose

Stopped working 13 months after purchase
Bit of a hassle getting it to connect to the wifi. Once connected it worked well with alexa. White light is really bright but causes the unit to over heat and start to flash if kept at 100% for over 10mins, so set it to 50% or less if you dont want it to start flashing on and off. Coloured light is a bit dim adding just enough background light so that you dont bump into things.Lastly, after a year it simply stopped turning on. A more cynical person would think it was programmed to stop coming on after one years use.Get a bathroom light with an E27 smart bulb. Thats what I have now just ordered to replace this.
