Excellent......life changing power tool!
Love this thing! Wow, if you, like me, are concerned about this thing having enough power to drive 16's, don't be! This thing drives nails quite effortlessly. You actually need to dial back the power a bit.! Ex contractor here so I get it. This thing is so nice. Been through about 5,000 nails into mostly doug fir and some hard wood (with a mix of 8's and 16,s) and NO jams but plenty of mis-fires. Not sure what that's about but it does mis-fire once in a while but it almost never jams which is just super good for any nailer. Runs on fuel for its muscle and battery for spark and cooling fan I guess. Claims are 1,000 nails per fuel cell. I don't count nails but I did do some basic math after a long day of heavy use and it seems were were not getting anywhere near that (maybe 500-600) but I'm OK with it because this thing is so doggone convenient! I charge the battery every day or two since most of the power comes from the fuel but both are needed at all times. I saw somewhere that you can get 9,000 nails per battery charge which, if true, would require around 15 fuel canisters. This tool is certainly nice but consumables are way over-priced. That always seems to be the case eh? I didn't deduct any stars because I knew this going in and besides, I'm reviewing the gun, not the cost of consumables. I just hope competition drives the price down. I thought the fuel canister thing would be a pain but it is not. You just make sure you have a few and they seem to last a comfortable amount of time It doesn't feel like you are constantly changing fuel cells or anything like that. The fuel is where the nail driving power comes from and rest assured, it has power. You can find them for about 10 bucks or a bit more. I have about 30 power tools ranging from Milwaukee (which is most of them) to my Dewalt sliding 12" compound mitre saw to my black & decker mouse sanders and just about every conceivable power tool Drill, hammer drill, impact driver, rotary hammer, all the saws, blower, trimmer, and the list goes on AND this Paslode cordless nailer is EASILY my favorite tool of them all! It is just that good! And to think I almost passed this over for a Dewalt 20V Max. That would have been nowhere near the level of this. I don't know for sure because I have not used the Dewalt but I'd bet my youngest on it. Also, I recently went about 3 months without using it and FORGOT to put the small battery on the charger and as things would have it with this device, it fired the first nail I shot perfectly...and the 2nd, and 3rd...it lasted throughout the light work day! Just sitting for 3 months with the fuel cell and battery still in and I picked it up and it worked just as it were the same day! How good is that? Get yourself one! I can't see you not having fun like I am with this thing,

The very best in cordless nailers
Paslode has had the best cordless nailers ever since “cordless” became popular. Their quality is superb. I have used Paslode framing and trim nailers for the past ten years. The framing nailer has seen some pretty awful abuse from inclement weather to being dropped from some unmentionable heights and it continued to work flawlessly. The paslode all-season fuel works very well in temperatures down to single digits. Under average temperature and use I’ll get over 1,000 shots per fuel cartridge. Regular maintenance is important however as these combustion type nailers get dirty inside and that affects performance and reliability. Strips of nails must be clean and rust free as well. I use only Paslode fasteners. As the points of the nose tip get dull the trip tends to slip and cause the safety not to disengage. Be sure to keep the points sharp and replace the nose tip when it gets worn down. It’s easy to replace and not too expensive at Amazon. The rafter/belt hook is great and does not interfere with use as some other brands do. The noise is somewhat greater than pneumatic nailers but not that objectionable even indoors. Some say that the odor from the combustion exhaust is problematic when indoors but there are much more objectionable odors on a job site than the little bit of fumes these nailers produce. After ten years my framing nailer started mis-firing. I considered doing a re-build but the cost of the parts necessary was going to be over $100 so I opted to replace rather than re-build. I gave the old gun to a co-worker who Re-built it himself for around $150 and it’s working perfectly today. I highly recommend Paslode nailers.

works better than their finish guns.
This is a very light framing gun. only had it about a month but so far its worked flawlessly. I did take the effort to register it for the free 2 yr service plan. mostly because my finish gun desperately needed service. service on the finish gun was excellent. just stupid that a brand new gun needed service. Framer has not needed service and as I said works really well. lighter than my Bostich pneumatic framer. one thing that takes getting used to is that you probably should not use this gun as a hammer. the bostich is a decent hammer when framing. Nails are expensive. as is gas but the customer pays for them.

Convenient!!
I'm a home builder and love tools, especially tools that save time and money. Recently, I've purchased many cordless tools because of great reviews you can find on YouTube, where actual tradesman are using them. This Paselode cordless framer is an EXCELLENT addition to my inventory. I use it for a multitude of projects. Hangs on my tool belt nicely, shoots dependably, comes with a nice plastic case, and most of all, no dragging out a compressor and hose! This gun is not as fast or cheap as using conventional pneumatic framers, but it certainly has a purpose and I find myself getting it out quite a bit over the course of building a house. Highly recommended for DIYers as well as professional tradesmen.

It works great and I will buy a second one as soon ...
I buy 1 or 2 a year and was sceptical of the quality of this one because of the low price but it is the same as all of the other ones just with a different silver sticker on the side.It works great and I will buy a second one as soon as they have more in stock.
