Through the pandemic I've been fortunate to continue working from home but for security reasons all of my work must be done through my employer provided laptop versus my home computer.I needed a solution to be able to easily attach two devices to one monitor while being able to quickly switch back and forth between sources. This has fit the bill perfectly. It seems to be built solid and though it is fairly aesthetically pleasing for what it is, i opted to use a 3m strip to attach it to the back of my monitor so I did not have to chase cables to switch devices.

- Functionality -Worked right away. I plugged in the cables (one from laptop to box and one from desktop to box) then one cable from box to monitor. Click the button and the source will change.I put a Command strip on it then stuck it to the back of my monitor so I can just reach up and touch the button. I figure this keeps the cables and box clutter off my desk.I'm not seeing any image degradation.- Impression -The unit came in just a plastic zip-top container but seemed adequate.- Recommendation -I would recommend this to anyone. I wish it wasn't made in China but I couldn't find one that wasn't.

Only had it a week, but it works exactly as expected. The lights are not overly bright, which I actually appreciate a lot. They are both slightly recessed so they aren't very visible from a horizontal angle, which so much better than having a blue LED shining into your eyeballs. One of the lights actually went out, not a problem for me.The button has a nice feel and a very clear press, and I don't notice any picture degradation. I bought this because I use 1 monitor for an xbox one and also as an external for my laptop. The monitor switch function is cumbersome and I used to have to unplug the HDMI cable from my laptop when I switched, now I just hit a button. Hopefully it continues to work, if it fails after a few months I'll update the review. Otherwise, great product at an affordable price!

Works extremely inconsistently if both devices are not on, if at all. I end up spending more time turning the second device on, getting my monitor to redo the input, etc. than if I had just unplugged everything and used them without the switcher. I thought maybe I can just unplug the second device (a laptop which I don't want to keep on all the time), but it would not work that way either.

I use it to share the same port on my TV with my Xbox/PS5. It works well but had to do some troubleshooting. It wouldn’t pick up the PS5 signal, only the Xbox one. After some trial and error, I found that the TV had some smart feature turned on. If you are using this on a Samsung smart TV (Q series), I would recommend messing with the settings first. This issue happened with a different splitter that I have on my computers so not the splitter’s issue. After turning that feature off, I haven’t had an issue with it. Would recommend.

Honestly it's perfect. Using it on a 4K monitor and it works great at 60Hz, so full quality.I have mounted it behind my desk within easy reach, and use it for switching the HDMI input between my laptop and desktop.It's so much easier to press one button than use the input switching on almost any modern monitor. With a monitor you have to press the menu button, go to Input, click up a few times, press again to switch. A total drag.With this all you do is press one button and it goes. Really really convenient. Much better! Highly recommended if you have two computers and one monitor.

This was my worst Amazon purchase ever. First of all, it took FOREVER to arrive in the US, and when it finally reached my state, it got lost. Amazon made that right and it finally arrived while I was out of town.Just tried to install it and the Firestick HDMI plug won't fit. What a waste of time and money.

I have 2 mini windows computers, one linux box and 2 raspberry pi computers feeding into one monitor. Two go to this box which goes into a (powered) GE brand three input box. No one else in their right mind would propbably be doing this, but I like to compartmentalize my pc functions and I mostly only use them one at a time.This switch does work fine by itself as long as at least one of the HDMI inputs has enough power - long cables may have significant voltage drop and I haven't tested anything over 3 feet.

I bought this as I wanted to be able to easily switch the output from my Xbox Series S between both my monitor (1440p) and TV (1080p). Works perfectly for this purpose. Only issue I ran into was due to my monitor being a higher resolution, if the TV was already on before switching, it would show "invalid format", easily resolved by turning the TV off and back on. I assume this wouldn't be an issue if both sources/displays were the same resolution.Design of the unit is nice, its matte black rather than the glossy finish all the others seem to use. I have it sat right in front of my TV and it blends right in. Its built well and the button has a nice tactile click to it. There's a tiny LED to show which output your using which is only really visible when viewed from above so its not distracting at all.

I use this device to connect one 1080p monitor to 2 Windows 11 computers. If I power up pc 1 then pc 2, everything works OK. If I power up pc 2 first, pc 1 does not boot. It might be my particular arrangement of pcs and monitors that's causing this (one pc has 2 monitors on extend, or 3 when I click the switch).I've seen comments here saying 'does not work with computers' etc - try booting your pcs in a different order before you return or bin the switch.Apart from this little quirk, I'm quite happy with the switch.

Compact, passively powered, feels robust and has a nice big button to easily switch between inputs. Sits under my monitor to share a screen between two computers. There is a small blue LED for each channel that lights up when that side is in use. Works exactly how I wanted for a low price.

Not much to say other than it does the job at a good price. Better for me than just a 1-to-2 HDMI adapter because I have two different size/resolution screens driven from one sky q mini box. So the sky q box can then optimise the resolution for each screen depending upon which one is selected.One improvement would be fixing holes on the back so it could be mounted.

Like a lot of people wfh I went out and got myself a nice new shiny pc to do my work on to sit along side my normal gamer rig. I didn’t really want another screen up as I have one of those ultra wide behemoth things and quite frankly there’s no way 2 of these 49inch screens would fit!So I had been unplugging the hdmi each time I wanted to use a different machine. So thought this would save me the trouble. Alas it was not meant to be!These do not work on PC’s, I tried on a number of GPU’s and still no joy.So if it’s for pc use I’d try another switcher.Well packaged and presented tho.
