Keeps smells IN
I purchased this not to keep water out but to keep smells in. I needed something to put full doggie poo bags in until we could get home from our walks. I hate walking around carrying those stinky green bags. This works perfectly! It’s big enough for several piles, keeps the stink in and attaches to the leash handle. All without advertising that I’m carrying a bag of poop. I cannot say if it keeps the contents dry but it looks as if it would withstand a quick dunk or certainly a rainstorm. It is made of a soft plasticky material that folds over at the top. The clip seems sturdy enough. I would trust it to keep my socks dry, but I’d want to test it before I trusted it with my phone on a kayak trip. I would not be surprised if it did keep a phone safe, it does seem air tight with smells anyway

Good value for price.
Have 2 liter size. Plenty of space for typical pocket items phone, keys, wallet, etc. Use mostly on kayak but also while at beach.

Worked as expected, but much larger than expected as well.
It kept things dry as expected. It is much larger than I thought. I guess I can’t envision what a liter (or liters) look like.

Worked great as a bear bag
This bag worked wonders as a bear bag. It held so much of our food and still had more room. We put al our trash in it. It easily folded up. Once we got our line hung, it was easy to hang for the night. Def recommend if you don’t want to carry a bulky bear canister and your ok with working to hang the line.

Great Dry Sack. Bear Bag?: Not So Much
We used this as a "tree bag" to keep our foodstuff between two trees to keep it away from animals at night while through hiking. We woke up night two with a Grizzly on its hind legs trying to reach it. It was out of his reach but clearly it isn't "scent proof". If a bear got ahold of it it DEFINITELY wouldn't be bear proof. Bear "bags" these days are made of hard dense plastic and are very resilient (and also very expensive). It definitely worked for us but we very easily could've gotten into a tussle with a Grizzly over our food.

Rugged sack, as advertised
Product was as described , but came with a few small slits in it caused by packaging . Didn’t wasn’t to deal with sending it back so repaired with tape .
