This is a very attractive shelf. It’s sturdy and well-made. Easy to assemble and easy to put up. It’s got a great mid-century vibe to it. Although if you had a rustic aesthetic, it would work for that as well.

Put together easily, hangs well & feels pretty sturdy

These shelves come with two wooden brackets, and the two shelves. This is not in the instructions but it is much easier to hang the brackets first, and then attach the shelves after measuring the correct distance.If you buy a set of two like I did, hang the lower shelves first, these hang on the wall like a photo would, the nail slides into a groove into the back of the shelves and they will hang half an inch lower than the nail sits. You will not get a seamless look starting with the top shelf first if you have chosen to buy a set of 2.Because of how these are connected to the wall, I found it easier to align two shelves together by attaching screws through the bottoms of each bracket to the wall, it helps it hold more weight and it keeps it straight.An important thing to note as well is that the screws that connect the bracket to the shelves are pretty long, and if someone is not paying attention it would be pretty easy to screw through the top of the shelf.If you’re willing to put in a little work these are great shelves for the cost, and a great alternative to west elm type shelving that cost triple the amount.

I wanted some sort shelving unit, but couldn’t find anything that would work within my awkward space I wanted to fill. I came across the Kate and Laurel Meridien Mid Century Modern Shelves and surprisingly happy with the end result. The walnut finish is beautiful and matches pretty closely with my walnut Article furniture I have surrounding. I never write reviews, but wanted to especially because I stacked 3 units of the wall shelves. I thought it gave my space a more built-in look. I found them easy to assemble, and sure installing could be tricky for someone. I marked my drill wholes on masking tape and leveled them on the wall. So happy I went this route!

Snug to the wall and easy to install. Holds everything we need it to hold.

I was pleasantly surprised by the great quality of this shelf, considering the affordable price. If you’re thinking about buying it, go for it!

I was looking for a mid century shelf but was struggling to find what I was looking for in my price range. We ended up buying four of these and placing one over another. They look amazing! Assembly was easy- thanks to my husband.
