NAVAGE® Starter Bundle: Nose Cleaner, 30 SaltPods, Congestion Relief

Ok, I have a hell of a nose and I have thought about purchasing this for a while. I finally caved in after my runny nose won't stop and have tried everything else possible to find congestion relief. This so far has worked for me better than nose sprays and prescriptions. I'm not going to say it will do the same for you; it would be depending on your situation. I'm on day 2 of "after cleaning" and I'm at least 70% improved in my nasal experience. Saw some stuff come out that looked like it was growing in my nose. =)

I decided to try the Navage Starter Bundle after dealing with ongoing sinus congestion and pressure, and it has honestly made a noticeable difference. The system itself feels high quality and well-made. It’s very easy to set up, and the pre-measured SaltPods make it convenient — no guessing on saline ratios or mixing errors. The suction feature is what really sets this apart from a traditional neti pot. Instead of just pouring saline through your sinuses, it actively pulls the solution through, which makes it feel much more thorough and effective. After using it consistently, I’ve noticed: Less sinus pressure Easier breathing, especially at night Reduced post-nasal drip Clearer passages during allergy flare-ups It can feel a little strange the first time you use it (there’s definitely an adjustment period), but once you get the hang of it, it becomes quick and comfortable. Cleaning the unit is simple as well, which is important for something used regularly. The only downside is the ongoing cost of the SaltPods, since you have to use the brand-specific pods. However, for the relief it provides, I personally feel it’s worth it. If you struggle with congestion, allergies, or sinus pressure, this is a solid investment that feels more effective than standard rinses. Definitely glad I gave it a try.

I love using my Navage. It took me awhile to justify the initial expense but my neti pot wasn’t doing the trick. I purchased my first Navage two years ago and used it daily. It was recommended by my naturopathic doctor and really helped with a past mold infection I was trying to heal from. My doc thought mold was colonizing in my sinuses, hence why I couldn’t eradicate it. The Navage stopped working and I opened it up to replace the batteries. It looked like some water got in. After cleaning it up and replacing the batteries, the first one stopped working after several more uses. When I reopened it, water got in. I was really careful when closing it back up tightly and cleaning it - I even purchased eye glass screws. Overall, for the price and how much it has helped me, I can justify the purchases. I now use it when I am fighting a cold, have allergies or think I have been in contact with mold.

So very helpful during a miserable allergy season. Does a great job cleaning out the sinus area. I was surprised by the amount of gunk that came out. My breathing is easier and am no longer waking up with a sinus headache and constant drainage. Does have a learning curve. So important to remember to only breathe through the mouth while using this product. Pay attention to the notices that the foil side down of the salt packets is required for the system to work.

The concept of this product is absolutely perfect! If you are swimmer then you'll understand the concept of how this works better. From a science standpoint, the material is made very well, there is nothing cheap about it. The instructions are easy to read, but the instructions are long, so please take the time to read it throughly. I believe that disclaimers should be implemented, such as if your nose bleeds a lot maybe this product is not for you. I don't suggest if your nose is bleeding while doing this, you should not use this. Secondly, this might be a bit controversial but if you use any schedule two drugs or a regular basis, this may not be for you as well due to deteriorating nasal cavity over time. But if you do have the common cold/flu/alligeries or sinus this will be the best thing ever. I tried to find the actual specifications on the actual manufaturing and salt packs, but I couldn't find it on a public knowledge basis. This part may be internal (if you're in Science BioPharma like I am you'll understand) For actual use, I feel like a swimmer because the concept is really good. Ideally, you have to make sure to keep your mouth open and do not hold your breath! If you do, the pump valve will not move (going up & down) If water is going down your throat and out your mouth...you're doing it wrong. If water is making you gag or choke...you're doing it wrong. You have to relax and allow the saline to going in one nostril and out the other. The nozzle is rotating, this way you have the option to switch which way you would like the saline to go in or out. This part is optional but it's better if you use alkaline distilled water and warm it for thirty seconds. Warmth is better and more comfortable for the nose this way the saline can work better and mucus comes out faster. If you see the solution leave your nostril on side and go into the bottom tank you are doing it correctly! Apologize for the long review, hope this helps. Cheers to breathing better!

After recovering from sinus surgery, my doctor prescribed something to combine along with a nasal irrigator, which, let's face it, is an unpleasant process no matter how delicately one tries, so the promise of a machine that makes it not only tidy, but as simple as a single button? Things that are too good to be true are, and if I'm lying may my nose grow. But no, my nose is what it is, and that's one (of many) issues with this device. From a merely anatomical perspective, the makers of the device assume everyone has the same nose. Why else would they not include any additional nose tips? Why would they not at least make them adjustable? These are too big, too far apart, too rigid, and not angled enough. I could tilt my whole head to kind of get it to work, but the top of the unit is not watertight, so the precious (and expensive) pod-anointed water just spills everywhere. The suction does work, but only from specific angles. The jet of anointed-water works, but again only from specific angles. Sadly the geometry of these two angles do not align, so either one side either sucks, or one side blows. There's never a smooth and uniform circulation, flow, never a lazy-river nor white-water-rapids, it was just squirt-squirt, glug-glug. With the rest on myself, or the counter, or a passing cat who should know better than to poke its nose into such things. Speaking of pokes, the lets-make-life-easy-by-making-one-button design promised easy of use, but in practicality, its so weirdly placed, not right enough but not wrong enough, that it just feels awkward in the hand and awkward to press, which in itself requires more effort than expected, and to maintain said pressure, at said odd angle, whilst holding ones head at an even odder angle, while spilling oddly anointed fluid over anything and everything that isn't a sinus, which is the one thing I was oddly aiming for. The entire device feels over-engineered. It has lots of plasticky bits. Little bits and bobs. Nose greebles. It looks cool, very sci-fi, but it also feels like there's so much that can go wrong when something as simple as a nose-vacuum needs so many parts, parts that rattle, jiggle, add unnecessary weight, and probably add unnecessary cost, parts that probably exist solely to lock you into some exclusive nose-keurig pods, for the device will do utterly nothing without that magic pod, that giver of salty liquid. And with something as inherently gross as nose-stuffings, the entire process for sanitizing the thing feels like a brutal chore. It would be nice if the device could be broken down, the parts cleaned individually, dishwashered, microwaved, steamed, exposed-to-full-moon, whatever it takes, but currently the whole thing is under lock and plastic-key, so the best you can do is run vinegar and soap through it which will absolutely most-certainly never come back to haunt you the very next time you try to use it. I began this quest because the off-the-shelf drugstore squeeze-bottle nasal-irrigator seemed cheap, low-tech, and simplistic. Now that I've seen this nose-emperor has no clothes, the squeeze bottle seems like a sudden king.

First off, it’s a smaller unit than I thought, which is great. I’m prone to allergies and sinus issues and need something more than drugs, so giving this a try. It says to not use if you’re completely clogged in one nostril, so I had to wait a little bit this morning before trying it. I have used a neti pot (old school gravity one) so I feel like I was somewhat prepared for this, but honestly this was way easier and more comfortable! It looks intimidating but once you do it, you’ll realize it’s not. It didn’t hurt or feel weird. Wetting the nose pads first helps with insertion. Breathing through your mouth too is key. I am definitely glad I bought this and would recommend it to anyone who is on the fence about it. I didn’t want to pay the money for it but am glad I did! One more tool in the box to fight against these allergies with!

Good idea in theory, but it’s too aggressive. This thing will give you a headache, threw it out.

This has been a great purchase for me thus far. I wanted to wait until I had used it for about a month before I reviewed it. I have had a severe deviated septum all of my life, which has lead me to essentially be a "mouth-breather." I've just accepted it and dealt with it most of my adult life until recently when tree pollen (or the likes) seems to have become an issue (as expected with deviated septums - side-effects worsen). The Navage system has been a great investment. I do it once a day and it seems to keep my post-nasal drip at bay. Around this time last year I was completely struggling with the drip and I could not sleep at night. To constantly feel your mucus dripping down your throat is somewhat torturous, and I thought it was something that I would have to deal with for the rest of my life - unless I went through with painful surgery to repair it. It went away in July, so I didn't think it had anything to do with tree pollen, more so the new cat and getting used to his dander. Until...the drip showed up again this March. I had to do something about it. My dad let me use his Navage and right away I could tell that this thing worked. It suctioned right in to my nose and what came out was disgusting. I was thrilled! My own machine has been used daily and I couldn't live without it now. The only slight downside with my new unit is that from the start, the first half-press of the button doesn't seem to do anything compared to when I used my dad's unit. I'm not sure if they've changed this function since his model was made last year, but I can't feel it adjust at all before the water shoots out. I have to kind of play around with it before the water comes out, whereas my dad's would automatically tighten to my nasal passages - even with my deviated septum. It could just be a flaw in my unit, or it could be that it's not made as well anymore, but who knows. Environmentally, I would never try to return it because it still works. I'm still giving it five stars because it serves its purpose by clearing out my nasal passages completely so that the post-nasal drip is hardly noticeable. I'm in love with the idea that I will no longer have to deal with this and will be a life-long customer of the product if I know this is what 4 months of the year will look. I've accepted that this will be a part of my daily routine and I'm cool with it. Thank you very much to the creators! This is the revved up version of the Neti Pot and I am definitely here for it.

My wife bought one of these after seeing 'rave reviews' all over the internet. The item was pricey, but as she has sinus issues, we gave it a go. She has tried several times to use it, and so have I, and it just doesn't perform as expected/claimed. The flow rate is ridiculously low, and there is no vacuum action at all. A nasal irrigation bottle performs much, much better and is less than 10% of the price.
